2025 NFL Free Agency and Draft: DT
Like corner, this draft class appears to have good value in the late 1st for DTs. And the thing I've noticed that is unusual about this class is how many BIG guys there are this year, with 5 of the top 8 on one board all weighing in over 320 lbs. That is rare.
Could see 4-6 DT's solidifying first round grades or elevating into first round next week at @seniorbowl.#TheDraftStartsInMOBILE™️ https://t.co/Lp12Z16QiM

Favorite interview of the day had to be Maryland DL Jordan Phillips.

The tape pops, but getting to know the athlete behind the facemask showcases a whole new side of the former Terp.

Yep, Aggies put him at 4i a lot. Interesting article HERE about that.
"Under first-year HC Mike Elko at Texas A&M, the Aggies ran the tite/mint front defenses that have taken over college football, and are similar to what Georgia has run in their latest stretch of dominance. In these defenses, the defensive line is taught much differently than other defensive line play. The structure of the defense calls for players like Stewart to be placed as the 4i technique on the line, rarely having many reps out wide where he can pin his ears back."
I watched Nolen, Harmon, Collins, ONL, Alexander, Sanders...and then put on Stewart. Now I know it's a slightly unfair comparison due to where each lined up, but my jaw is still on the floor. I think he can be a pass rushing maniac from the 5t/4t/4i position.
I think he’s a guy BFlo could get a lot out of. Looking forward to his 10 yard split.
The #Patriots have given DT Davon Godchaux permission to seek a trade, sources say.

There has been contact with interested teams, and the veteran is likely on the move given the team’s defensive scheme shift. pic.twitter.com/yMLiwkTWhQ
Was with BFlo in Miami.

Ole Miss DL JJ Pegues said he will compete in defensive line drills, along with FB/TE on-field drills, as well.

Versatile athlete said he has had multiple conversations with teams towards a potential role on offense.
7 rushing TDs. Solves two problems. Plus, a third JJ would be nice.

The new Fridge? Same size. Consensus 5th rounder, he'd be good depth for Harrison Phillips at nose and with the tush push on its way out, he can start a new (again) trend at the goal line.
1. Shemar Stewart is a massive human being — pretty eye-opening standing up close

Don't know what Barry is but it's hard to believe that's not the same guy.
So Texas A&M EDGE Shemar Stewart is telling people at the NFL Combine he will run in the high 4.4s or low 4.5s tomorrow.

If we can get a 2nd rounder for Darnold, that's the pick I'd trade down to rebuild our draft. I might keep 24 for Stewart or to be in range of the Tampa's pick 19 if Jeanty falls there. Probably won't get past the Cowboys, but he certainly won't get past the Broncos at 20.
Stewart is definitely generating buzz. If he continues momentum and has an excellent combine, I think he cements himself in the top 15
According to Wolfson, DT Milton Williams is "absolutely" on the Vikings free agent radar

Better than Combine legends like Myles Garrett and Montez Sweat 🤯 pic.twitter.com/ODidGzhzV6From what I've read, he played the season at 290 and weighed in at the Senior Bowl at 281. If he can stay in the 4.6's at the 290 weight, he'll destroy people. That's Aaron Donald shit. But I think that rocket has launched. He's going to go very very early to a 4-3 team.
At that lower weight, a lot of his pressures will turn into hits and sacks.

I like Harmon a lot more than Nolen. Sucks to have the Packers picking right before us with similar needs.

Don’t worry, they’ll pick the wrong guy. Poor track record of getting 1s to a second contract.
