2025 NFL Free Agency and Draft: RB
I don't see the Vikings adding a running back in free agency. There's just not much out there. Even if we bring back one or both of Jones and Akers, I think the Vikings will take a RB with one of their first two picks. From this list, I love Jeanty and Henderson. Unimpressed by Skattebo and Neal. With the depth of this class, there's probably going to be good backs still on the board after the draft. One sleeper I like right now is Montrell Johnson, Jr out of Florida.
This year’s RB draft class is absolutely LOADED.

Some NFL scouts reportedly believe there could be “easily over 10” selected between rounds one and two.
• Ashton Jeanty (Boise State)
• Omarion Hampton (UNC)
• Kaleb Johnson (Iowa)
• Dylan Sampson (Tennessee)
• Jordan James… pic.twitter.com/ELDTsYi4ig
I thought if he came in under 5-9 it could drop him a bit. He's still RB1 by a mile IMO, but I wonder if this takes a little shine off.
Ashton Jeanty

Easy to see why he has the best contested catch ability in the class. pic.twitter.com/dOh7Du71O1
Kaleb Johnson 4.58 😔

About what most of us saw on tape.
Judkins 4.48 at 221 pounds is a nice time
Omarion Hampton is a RB prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.93 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 14 out of 1909 RB from 1987 to 2025.

Exactly. Thor Nystrom and a few others have been touting Johnson as RB2 and a 4.43 guy. I don't know how you can watch 5 minutes of his clips and say that. I thought he'd be 4.53 at best. He's even slower than that.

Jarquez Hunter: 22.79mph
Omarion Hampton: 22.70mph

RJ Harvey is a RB prospect in the 2025 draft class. He scored an unofficial 9.07 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 179 out of 1909 RB from 1987 to 2025.

I think the 5-8 will help Harvey a bit since he's been listed before as 5-7.

Glad I didn’t prop bet him at sub 4.4. Mildly disappointed.

Are you betting on these? I didn't even know that was a thing until about a week ago. 4.41 ain't slow tho. Still love the guy after the buckeyes and ahead of Kaleb Johnson.
Underrated back here IMO. Catches the ball like a WR.
LeQuint Allen looked arguably the best among all RBs during drills. Smooth, quick feet.

It's refreshing to see this many RB UNITs running this fast when it's a relatively weaker WR class.

One of about a half dozen backs we aren’t really talking about. Just nuts. This class is freaking insane.
Here's a list of the running backs who ran 40s today alongside their Speed Score. Generally, anything above 100 is solid. Below 90-92 is a red flag (sometimes). Just one data point, but, once again, this class is looking good. pic.twitter.com/a4Tnskbqge

Frequently mock Tahj Brooks to us as a 2nd back. He'd be a nice pairing with a Henderson or a Harvey.
After Jeanty, give me either Omarion Hampton or Quinshon Judkins: I'd be ecstatic with either. I wouldn't take Kaleb Johnson as an UDFA.
The #Vikings have met with Miami RB Damien Martinez at the combine, a source tells me. Martinez ran a 4.51 40 yard dash, and is one of the better power backs in this years loaded 2025 RB class. pic.twitter.com/4xHcph61CB

Yeah, I’d be down with a RB from Miami.

The #Vikings are trying to bring back Aaron Jones on a similar deal that he got last year, per @TonyPauline. Jones received a 1 year, $7M deal with Minnesota last offseason.

Jones is expected to have many suitors after having a career high 1,138 rushing yards in 2024. pic.twitter.com/K77G5Ypgv0
