Maybe some fans don't like Kirko, but the guys that play with him sure the hell do:

Is he a good driver with a very nice car to drive? Or can he elevate beyond that when needed?

I aint taking anything away from the kid, but when the QB needed to make a play for a win? He wasn't up to it, at least last night.

Shredded em up w/out JJ

Throwing roses at the OL today - nice job gents. ZERO F'ing SACKS!!

Good luck getting Risner out of the line-up now.

I am wondering if when Cleveland is healthy if they dont try him back at RG to see if they can get something more over there.

Yeah, I'm curious from the team's perspective how he's performing compared to Cleveland. I don't know if its better, worse or the same. It doesn't SEEM to be worse? But I'm not a coach.

And the media is turning on him like a group of jackals. What a surprise.
kind of a joke,  the over the top endorsement of the kid when he is basically driving a lambo and just has to keep it off the wall,  and having that kind of D that really allows him to just run around the track at half throttle, but he has looked good running pace laps.  but the hypocrisy of so many is how fast they can change positions,  its going to be that way with the Vikings after last night,  Maroon was in very limited company in his beliefs that this team can still make a deep playoff run,  today he will have to beat off the bandwagoners with a stick and the media "experts" will be feeding it,  until the next loss or even just poor showing,  then look out the sky is falling all over again.

They're polar opposites if you ask me. Cleveland is a good run blocker and a pretty bad pass blocker. Risner is a good pass blocker and a pretty bad run blocker. Pick your poison. Given his trajectory, short of injury, nobody is replacing Ingram at RG.

I agree with almost all of this except the media is still holding the Vikings at arm's length. I'd say they aren't as cool today toward they team as they've been, but still lots of skepticism. If they beat Green Bay, I think then you'll see more of what you mention here. JMO.

its still early,  wait for the talking heads to get wound up and feed off each other,  it will only take one to get the hyperbole going and the rest will jump on because they dont want to be wrong... even if they were saying the exact opposite only a few days ago.

@"JimmyinSD" said: Kirk still had some shit moments last night,  but he also showed what can be done in this O when a QB climbs the pocket a little,  he extended plays within the pocket on many of those 3rd down conversions and that was key IMO to the win.

His pick and the 2nd TD to Addison were both on him,  there were a few other stinkers,   but that first TD ball to Addison was a beauty.  As good of a pass as you will see at any level.  Perfect trajectory,  perfect velocity,  perfect placement.  I bet I watched that one back 6 times.

That touch on the first TD pass was beautiful.

He may be a possible trade chip, I’ve read he wants to play tackle, perhaps that’s why there’s been no extension talks…

The conversation is going to come down
entirely to money.  Cleveland would have
to get super disappointing offers in FA for us to be able to afford him.  You just can’t pay big money to Cleveland,
Bradbury, and O’Neill on top of league leading contracts to JJ, Darrisaw, and
Hockenson.

I get a little kick out of watching this same conversation
about Kirk happen over and over again.  A
week ago we’re talking about him being outshined by the backup QB on the worst
team in the league and that he can’t even spike the ball without getting
permission, and now we’re back to him being top X in the league.  I think we all know he’s got the ability to
spit out some absolute gems of a game, but we also know there’s 2 or 3 games
every year where he forgets how to play football.
This past game was a pleasure to watch and an absolute
clinic, but I’ve seen enough Kirk to not feel comfortable betting on him to win
3 games in a row against other playoff caliber teams in high pressure games
like the playoffs.  I’m also hoping to be
pleasantly surprised and root for a victory every week.

Again, if he wants to be a tackle, obviously it won’t be here…

I don't think he'll be here even if he is just going for quality guard money.

He's got that dawg in him. I've seen the x-rays. Unless we happen to win the lottery on a draft pick like Mahomes, I think you're right.

You'll miss the erudite, puffing a pipe in his smoking jacket Dr. Kirko Hyde who just balled out like a maniac.  His storied greatness keeps Viking twitter rolling as he rocks his chains on some airplane soaring on high.  Oh the majesty of it!

But you won't miss slovenly Mr. Kirk Jekyll who flubbed up the Charger game, lined up to take a snap from a guard, checks down on 4th and season along with numerous other famous brain farts and a near total lack of playoff runs or wins.

The sarcasm meter was deep in the red on this.  B)

Time will tell. Kirk's lack of mobility is my real major drawback with him, it would come in very handy in today's NFL. But he's got a very underrated skill set....very. I just don't see how Minnesota is going to let him walk in 2024 with nothing going. Will be interesting.
