Most people recognize Ahmad Rashad a a big-time NBA host, and best friend of Michael Jordan. But, he was once a Viking great, who was one of the key additions to the 1976 Viking team that last went to the Super Bowl.
He addressed the crowd in Mankato to honor the 52nd and final year in the city. When he was done, he is impossible to get to talk on camera. Not because he is not a nice guy, but because he is simply busy - he does these things and then jets back home to Florida.
But, Bob Lurtsema and Chuck Foreman both steered him to us, where VikeFans got the only interview with Ahmad on this final night in Mankato. He is so smooth, I barely had to ask him anything.
