OT: In the end. R.I.P. Chester Bennington

WTF is with these musicians from the 90s and 00s offing themselves?  I cant remember who it was but wasnt there one just a few months ago?

thats it.   so fricking sad for the ones they leave behind.  suicide just pisses me off,  everybody wants to feel sorry for the deceased, screw that,  they took the cowards way out of their problems.  I feel sorry for the ones they leave behind to deal with their mess.  ( Yes this is a little personal for me)  There are always other options.... always.  I can maybe see it in certain instances like terminal cancer or something to stop the suffering,  but damn.  :/

 well as one who has had suicide hit them personally (my step son).  There is certainly a lot more that goes into this decision they make. It takes a lot to override a persons will to survive. Unless we get the while story, which i am sure we won't,  you have to feel for the survivors as well as the one who committed the act. 

R.I.P. Chester Bennington. It's so easy from the outside looking in to say that it was the easy way out. Seeing several people hit by suicide, I have seen the agony of those left behind and those that have overcome attempted overdoses and other methods. Fighting the demons can be exhausting and overwhelming. My thoughts and prayers to his friends and family. He was scheduled to be at Xcel Energy Center with his band. I hope they do some sort of tribute concert. What an incredible voice. 

RIP, thoughts go out to the family. and... it is what it is: a sad loss.

What made me smile a little bit later today was hearing about Shane McMahon surviving a helicopter crash. While i'm not so sure the crash or rescue was as dramatic as it sounded, the contrast of a man who could have easily had his life taken from him surviving with the help of total strangers felt surreal.

When I graduated High School, one of the most popular, well liked kids in my class committed suicide. Even back then, I didn't like the speculation as to "why?" A lot of rumors and nasty stuff. Some kids would get angry and say things like "he took the easy way out." While I don't really agree with that, it didn't really bother me; there was a lot of grief manifesting in many different ways. I can understand how hard it settled on everybody with the news. He was a great guy.
