That’s it right there. A 2nd alone won’t get this done. It will be CMC type comp or the colts won’t do it. Thinking a 2027 2 and 3 at minimum

The 2027 2nd seems a foregone conclusion. What we pair it with is the question. A future pick? A 2027 5th? I'm fine with all of that. Day 3 picks are so overvalued. But a 2027 2nd and 3rd is max for me. That would gut Nolan's day two. I wouldn't go any higher than that unless we're talking future late round sweeteners. I mean who gives a shit about 7th rounders? But NFL teams sure use them a lot to even up trades as if they're worth something.

That’s kinda what I’m thinking. Slightly less than CMC is the sweet spot.
If there was a clear cut RB2 in this draft, I’d be a bit hesitant.

That sounds about right. And tolerable, because we're spreading out the day-two hit over two years. We'd still have two day-two picks in '27 (two 3rds), two more 5ths and our 2nd rounder in 2028. We'll likely get a 3rd (and then some) as a comp picks that year from either Murray, Hock, Mason, Gink, or Cash if they go elsewhere.

I think you could justify that level of an offer since CMC brings extra juice in the pass game. Guess you could always get outbid though.
