McCarthy to get his shot in New York
JJ is going to get his shot, very glad for him.....👍🤘
The Giants are planning to soon move forward with JJ McCarthy as their QB1, per @RapSheet.

New York might give McCarthy one more week to prepare behind Jameis Winston before becoming the full-time starter by Halloween. pic.twitter.com/8vUYObAfyM

It isn't his arm that is the question, but those few inches between his ears.
Adam and JJ are close off the field, not surprising he's his hype man now. He has a bunch of current Vikings that are rooting for him, he was popular in the locker room. Build up the hype, that's what the NFL media does....because then tearing it down gains more views and clicks anyway🔥
Jameis Winston SHOULD get the Giants Week 7 start over JJ McCarthy

I’ve said it before and maybe it bears repeating.
2nd preseason game, McCarthy injured his ankle. We are told had it been a regular season game he would/could have gone back in.
Preseason game 3 comes and McCarthy is announced as starter and almost simultaneously is announced as unavailable.
I think that was the point the Rubicon was crossed. Teasley had zero investment in McCarthy and just witnessed a player who profoundly needed reps basically say “naw, I’m good”.
If you want to say KO failed McCarthy, that’s fine. But, McCarthy flat out quit on the Vikings.
The funniest part of this whole deal is McCarthy being elevated to near mythical status based on garbage time numbers against the 31st ranked D’s backups.
And now, my fingers will obey my brain on this subject.
Tea leaf reading says this is exactly what happened. JJ knew what he was doing and forced his way out. IMO the roster saw it and Teasley was forced to trade him.
FWIW Jennings is doing a different version of the same thing.
A trade would have gone down the next day, but no team wanted to take on the task and cost. When Dart went on IR, Vikings found a trade partner.
Giants at Texans this Sunday will be a better tell and worth watching.
Don't trade JJ.
