It’s Time To Move On
“Hell is empty and all the devils are here”

They should have gotten rid of him before this offseason, a clean break and start moving forward. Now they've committed reps, time, energy and the dude is butthurt because fans boo'd him. Completely tone deaf. Not nearly enough conciliatory attitude....hell, no desire to be. If there's a cancer on a team, its this type of dude.
28 off the field incidence against women = serial behavior.
"The Lord put me though situations for a reason, I don't regret anything at all"
#Browns QB Deshaun Watson on being booed by fans today.

The last thing this team needed with Watson was to bring in another polarizing QB in Sanders, they are a mess. Starting the season at the top of the Tankathon.
Shedeur named Cleveland as the place he didn't want to go. Cleveland taking Shedeur doesn't change their fate. They took him to do a favor for the league so that players know that they don't get to call the shots and pick their teams. No rookie is bigger than the league.
And the Browns can't cut Watson. About every year the Browns have restructured Watson's contract, kicking the can down the road. The Browns currently have $27M in cap space. If they outright cut Watson the dead cap hit is $127M per Over The Cap. Granted it would be a post June 1st release, allowing the Browns to spread that hit over 2 years ... but damn. Maybe they keep him on the roster and just send him home.
Or you can name Watson the starter ... which the Browns just did. Holy crap.
Sanders must really suck....
Deshaun Watson going 5-of-12 for 36 yards with a pick against the Bills backups and then criticizing the fans for booing him was apparently enough of a late push to win him the Browns QB job.

But, outside of the national media jumping on the bandwagon, here's some perspective. He's just probably the better QB hence the starter:
He was playing with the backups too on offense lol. What about the 1st game stats between the 2? 11-15 126 yards 0 Ints starting, Sanders 6-11 79 yards and 1 Int. Can play that game all day. Bottomline is, it doesn't matter who starts, Browns suck

It’s important to remember things could always be worse

Who else do they have? Nobody. And he is making the money, they can't cut him. Might as well get some return on that contract.

In another town I think the team would almost be forced to cut him if he plays so bad that fans stop showing up. But it’s hard to envision Browns fans ever not showing up.
Things in Atlanta don’t seem great but I’m glad Stefanski is clear of this mess. I reckon he is too.
It’s silly for a professional organization to suggest that it’s time for them to part ways. If they could, they would have did it a couple years ago, unless PFT knows some cap voodoo that no one else really knows about.
They’re just trying to survive that contract.
If you made me guess, I’d be trying to start whichever QB gave me the best odds to tank, ideally without it being super obvious that I’m tanking. Alternately, maybe there’s some sort of cap reason they need to start him, or maybe you let him take a bunch of hits and hope he retires or something.
Outside of the QB disaster, the Browns are putting together a decent roster. The big if is whether the 2 1sts next year (theirs and Rams) can finally net them a franchise QB.
