It doesnt.

We initially signed him to our practice squad. When he was "called up," he actually signed a new 3 year deal.

If he were to be waived/cut, the 3 year deal would be terminated. ... then its waiver claims (which keeps his 3 year deal in tact i believe), then its choosing the best practice squad offer again.

I am not sure when we have had a Qb that is loved by the fanbase as much as Teddy.  Probably Fran was the last one.
