Poll: Jordan Addison
Just trying to see if it’s a loud minority that wants him gone or a true reflection of the fan base.

Passing on Stevie Wonder at 18 was further confirmation for me on how they feel about Addison...
It sure wasn't because of Felton.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

You betcha. Low hanging fruit.
The sad thing is my fiancé is an Eagles fan. At the time I said Lemon was a talented guy and could have gone higher.
Then she saw the interviews.
“Why didn’t you tell me he was such a weirdo?!”

He was the guy I wanted at 18 though...It would have told me a bunch about how they felt about Addison though throwing a #1 at a WR. Sorry for the detour!

The detours typically turn into really good discussions.

Addison is a very good football player and definitely makes the team better. From a talent standpoint, absolutely extend him. Vikings would be smart to tie some of his guaranteed money to being on the roster by March "x" (whenever the new league year starts) each year of his extension. Gotta protect against the off-the-field Addison making any more dumb decisions.

i started to note that in the chat on draft night, but then decided to not pick on the kid on his biggest night... but yeah, dead on Stevie impersonation.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?
he has to be in the plans until you have a replacement in the fold, and hopefully with a little time to prove his ability in the system.

Like everything else, it really comes down to the price point, but I don’t really see a reason to not have him in the plans. His off field issues are minor compared to the myriad of problems associated with a lot of other receivers.
But like Jimmy said, we can’t really afford to lose him (and Hockenson) without stronger replacement options being developed. Hopefully Felton and whoever we bring in from free agency will shine a little bit this year and make it a harder decision. Regardless, I think the Vikings are planning to bring him back unless something horrific happens like an achilles tear or he actively harms someone in a DUI. But I think the contract he takes on will be factoring in potential future off the field issues.
He's a talented kid and he makes a difference at WR2.

They already said they were budgeting his extension. The "get rid of him" stuff is just fans who are always the last to know what's going on.
budgeting for an extension is not offering an extension, given his history of off field events, I would say that extension is far from a done deal. Not to mention the team may add language to protect themselves into the contract that his camp may object to, so its still conversation worthy, despite his on-field success.

I voted yes because right now his talent far outweighs his headaches. But that could change. Fortunately, the Vikings don't have to make this decision for a while. One thing about Addison is that while he has a few issues off the field, from what I've read, heard and seen, he works his ass off. So he's not one of "those" guys.

Saw every game both Addison and Lemon played at USC, Lemon was far and above the better prospect coming out of college and it is not even close. He is a dog on the field, Steve Smith clone, always open, always working hard and out hustling everyone on the field. A much more complete football player than Addison, more physical, more versatile and the biggest difference is the consistency, he shows up every play. I was not a fan of drafting Addison as I saw him disappear and appear to lose focus in games. 100% would have taken Lemon.

I saw some Amon Ra in him. Now all I see is Stevie Wonder. If he can stop his head from "Wondering" back and forth, he'll have a clear path to impact on the Eagles after they trade AJ Brown.

I never had seen him do that before, think he may have been really nervous and emotional that night. His first interview with Philly was solid. Nothing but great character and outstanding kid his time at USC, great family background. I think we will regret it, but even more so huge miss by the Rams, who could have taken a local big talent instead of reaching for a QB.
