Steelers

They are likely targeting coaches that are still coaching active playoff teams? Isnt there a rule about not being able to interview coaches the week of games? Could have interviewed members of the 2 bye teams staffs during their bye weeks, but now have to wait until teams are eliminated or the week off before SB week?
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Yeah it’s something like that. We had to wait a while to make the KO hire official because the Rams kept winning I remember.

It does seem like that, but I think that's just our perception because we're no longer still playing and we have something to lose.
I think they need to redo the league rules on coaching interviews and whatnot. Just ban teams from interviewing and hiring coaches until after the SB. I don’t think it’s fair to the teams in the playoffs that their coaches are already thinking about their next jobs while they’re supposedly focusing on the current season. Also, you end up with a situation where maybe Harbaugh would have ended up with the Bills if he hadn’t already signed with the Giants.
I’d probably make it like the free agency period. Give everyone a week to interview but no one’s allowed to sign. Then open for signings the following week.

I agree, its clunky and not ideal for candidate or teams...I'm just not sure the league calendar allows for too much of a push ahead on the interviewing without really condensing things to the point where it doesn't make sense (or harms the process.)
Hard to believe they cant find someway to make it work though.

With the East/West Shrine game & Senior Bowl played prior to the Super Bowl, teams want to have as much of their staff in place prior to those games.

Wow!
So against the grain of the Rooneys historical hires.
Well, Rogers is probably very happy right now. Probably ups the odds considerably that he plays another season.

Huge shocker. I thought he would be the clear cut 3rd candidate in that group of 3.

It doesnt really matter who they hired. Steelers will continue to be mired in the middle until they find a replacement for Rothlisburger...Been a while now.
I have no idea of the QB depth this year after Mendoza? They draft #21 as it sits today.

So there are five openings remaining?
Ravens
Bills
Cardinals
Browns
Raiders

It's crap. Certainly one of the worst in recent memory. Not the year to be drafting a QBOTF
So glad the Ravens and Steelers passed on Flores and he's back with us.
Big Mac is gonna flop hard in Pittsburgh lol. Going from Tomlin to McCarthy is hilarious.
Mike McCarthy, head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
I don't get the perpetual McCarthy hate. He's got basically the same record as Harbaugh and Tomlin over 18 years, two guys who get all kinds of praise. I think people are prejudiced because he's overweight.
He's a good offensive play caller imo. The Steelers could do worse.

I always thought he was underrated big time. The Steelers got a good one IMO. No Roethlisberger, no Tomlin. Pretty simple.
Bills
Cards
Raiders
Browns
Thats whats open right now correct? Bills and Raiders are very desirable jobs imo, for very different reasons too.

Udinski is a rising star in the NFL. I think Josh Allen is going to love him.

I say the new coach is going to need some luck to do better than what McDermott has done in Buffalo.

It's amazing he's getting HC interviews already - and I am a big Udinski fan.
Personally I think he needs a few years as an OC to take the next step.
I think the Bills go with someone with more track record at the end of the day.
