Addison Arrested AGAIN (old news now)
Florida .. trespassing

The Vikings are almost forced to keep him at this point fron a value perspective. I know it's how the Vikings roll, but they'd be selling for pennies on the dollar in any trade now. Deal with the bullshit, hope it gets dropped, and hope he can recoup some value this upcoming year.
unless you can trade him for a need, other teams likely have similar players that they would like to move off from for varying reasons, but dont want to sell low.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Younger & Associates/QB Limited/Tim Younger@YoungerAssocOn Jordan’s behalf, his legal team has already initiated the investigation, identified witnesses, and we are reviewing the viability of a claim for false arrest. He looks forward to the legal process and upon full investigation, we are confident Mr. Addison will be exonerated.
Or since they have identified witnesses they will be paid off and the file sealed. No sense to try and trade him now since his value is in the toilet. Every off season he does something stupid then has to sit out, now probably 6 games for a 2nd offense.
And also...this was one of the few feathers Kwesi could put in his cap as far as one of his draft picks that didn't bust. Three arrests in three years, an MIA stint in Europe...to me this kids now a bust as the Vikings can't trade a guy coming off another arrest that led the league (or close to it) in dropped pass percentage. From most indications there were character concerns about him coming out of USC although he was never arrested. Most saw it on draft night with his "let's get paid" bullshit. The fact that we are about to head into another offseason with Mensah calling the shots on the draft is mind blowing
You can trust him as far as you can throw him.
Risky, risky 2nd contract for Minnesota or any team that would entertain the thought. Stupid is as stupid does and if the Vikings resign him....they're stupid.
As MB said, "now that he's on the verge of getting a big pay day, he's doing everything in his power to subvert that." That is just about the definition of someone who is an alcoholic or chemically dependent. He needs to get help now if he wants to save a career. Calling Chris Carter...

Only fans care about his off-the-field issues. Teams don’t care. Not one team is going to say no because he was drunk in a casino, or sleeping in a car. These are teams that employ guys that assault women, beat up people in bars, etc. If he produces, someone will take a chance on him.
But Addison … go get help … drinking’s not for you my friend.
Categorically wrong. There may be teams that don’t care enough to not trade for him, but every team will value him less than they normally would due to the off the field issues.

I don't disagree about that. Everything factors into the price, but I don't think going from (2nd rounder for Addison) to (2nd Rounder for Addison and a late 5th) really tilts things for me in a meaningful way.
The thing that tanked his value the most is playing with JJM/Brosmer/Wentz for a year.

With his history and if that was the case?
The dude needs to get some serious help.
He's got problems potentially that far transcend football.
I hope not but at that time of the morning, could be. He needs to get it together and grow up.

While I think drinking’s probably not for him, I’m a little curious as to what his friend group looks like. If I were him, I’d be hiring a friend to just be his more sober buddy. He knows he’s going out drinking. He knows bad things happen when he drinks, but he’s not ready to quit. Have someone to guide him to safety on this late nights. Seems like a lot of his nights end up with solo problems though.

Agree...
But this requires common sense on his part, and I dont think that exists anywhere in the lobes between the ears.

IIRC, they could have asked him to leave and he refused and then be charged with trespass, even if they were still open for business.
Yeah and at 3:45am, I am sure he is innocent of all wrongdoings. Idiot.

Oh come on, y'old fogies. :-) When I was in Vegas a couple times for my son's baseball tourneys, I was probably the ONLY parent not out until nearly dawn every night. But then it's not my thing. I hate Vegas and I despise casinos. Sounds like they had a helluva time though.
I'm guessing at some point, there was a moment when Addison had the opportunity to just leave and do the right thing, but because he was likely drinking, his judgement failed to remind him of the consequences. But that's what alcohol does best.
Bad look for a good player. Not sure where he goes from here. I agree with Supa in that if I'm the Vikes, I just hope he figures it out enough to trade him at some point or at the very least get a strong season from 3 next year. His trade value is in the dirt so unless they're to the point where they're gonna cut him, I'd hang on.
Also, no, this would not make me go throw money at Nailor. Our passing offense this year couldn't support one WR, let alone two or three. I guess it depends who they plan to have starting at QB next year but if it's going to be McCarthy, I can't see the Vikes spending much if anything on receivers in free agency.
I don't think we should overreact too much about this. Doesn't sound like there was any drunk and disorderly, no DUI, no resisting arrest, no sexual component, no violence. It's just a trespassing charge, and for all we know he may actually be innocent. His lawyer seems to think so. And yes, I'm fully aware that's what lawyers always say. But they're not always wrong. And cops are not always right.
Without question he puts himself in bad situations far too often, and that has to stop. But we once had a player who was able to defeat his addictions and go on to 8 Pro Bowls and an NFL Man of the Year award. Carter was 25 when he had his come-to-Jesus moment (literally, in his case). It took being released to wake him up. Hopefully it doesn't come to that for Addison, who is 23.

It might be a generalization, but being awake at 3 in the morning at a place that serves alcohol seems like a recipe for bad decisions. Call me old if you want, but there is a reason for the saying "nothing good happens after midnight."

At least he was getting separation & Maintained leverage.
As the defendant was being escorted out of the building,” the report stated, “he repeatedly had to be redirected towards the front exit.”
At this pace, the only team that will take him is the Mean Machine.
His agent has less leverage with every incident...
Hell, this might work to the Vikings favor.
