Ravens prediction thread
Alright, time to call it like you expect to see it.
34-24 Vikings.
Something clicked in Detroit, and they're getting healthier....
LFG!
If I had to guess?
34/19 Ravens
Lamar can do some real damage (as can Henry if he gets going) and I dont know much about our QB yet.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
Vikings will win this game if JJ and the defense play like they did last week. But it's hard to say they will. Ravens are not the team they were a month ago, but then neither are the Vikings.
Vikings 27 Ravens 23
Such a tough matchup. Lamar is the best QB against the blitz in the league and he has become an accurate passer. I don't have confidence the Vikings can cover if their philosophy is to drop back into coverage and rush 3. I do like Flores' ability to make in game adjustments to whatever happens; just not sure he can find an answer!
Henry will have to be tackled early before he gets up a head of steam and the defense will have to swarm him.
The offense will have to score some points and not play from behind.
I'm betting on momentum from last week to continue in front of the home crowd.
Vikings 28 Ravens 24.

So close to the prize...So close
I just cant trust this offense this year. Not with a rook QB.

Many with unrealistic expectations. Two steps forward, one step back is still steady progress for JJM.
Nix and Penix— the other two QBs we maybe could have drafted that year— have turned in major stinkers this year too. Nix did this week! And they both have more experience and are older. It’s gonna take time. Hopefully with reps McCarthy can increase his accuracy.

You bring up Nix and Penix. The problem is many will bring up Darnold and Jones. And it is a legitimate arguement.
The plan was to draft a QB and build a team around him with the financial freedom a rookie QB provides. It took them a few years to realize their dream, but they are there now.
One could say they would not be able to obtain the surround of talent needed to compete if they stuck with Darnold or Jones. But I'm not sure the free agents brought in have made a significant difference from last year.
One could also say, despite an amazing 14 win season by Darnold, he folded when it counted against Detroit playing for the number one seed, and against the Rams in the playoffs, and that would be true. However, there is no doubt the offensive line was terrible in both games and few QB's could have won with that much pressure.
I expected to have ups and downs with JJ. It's just difficult to go through them when it is plain to see this roster could be a contender with a better QB.

34-21 Vikings. Young'un finds more of his stride, Flores flummoxes Lamar.
In my defense, Flores and the defense limited Lamar pretty well...but, I didn't foresee the offensive meltdown.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....

The Vikings ran the ball 13 times. JJ attempted 42 passes
I was hoping those numbers would be reversed
Mason's pass blocking is as bad as Adrian Peterson was.
How does it help jmac for KOC to call a game that's beyond JJ's ability to execute?
Best thing to develop oline cohesion is to run the ball.....

— Henry McKenna (@henrycmckenna) November 9, 2025Yep. Eight false starts is ridiculous and tells me they tried doing installing some wrinkles during the week. Clearly they need to more time to get that working. Our O-Line isn't great but they're not 8 false starts in a game bad. Some of that is on KO and JJM.
The good news is that this team is so Jekkyl and Hyde this season, it's shown me that they can get things fixed fast during the week. Maybe before the Ravens game they bit off more than they could chew in trying to disguise or complicate calls. Whatever they did, it didn't work. Hopefully with another week they'll have it down.

— Henry McKenna (@henrycmckenna) November 9, 2025I agree with the religion - 100%
But I will almost guarantee, there will not be a game KOC calls where they run the ball 42 times.
It's not in him, doesn't exist. It's also a problem to overcome.
Edit: Mason is nothing more than a change of pace back. Not 1a material and Jones is old/dinged (again). They had a chance to address it and took a WR playing special teams instead.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
