Vikings @ Chargers
Chargers -3
This isn’t the same Charger team we expected when the schedule came out. But neither are the Vikings. Chargers have the 3rd ranked passing offense and a mid-tier running game, further weakened by the loss of Harris and Hampton. Defensively, they’re remarkably similar to the Vikings. Vikings rank 7th in pass defense, Chargers 8th. Vikings rank 18th in run defense, Chargers 19th.
I see a bit of a comeback game for Wentz in this one mostly because he should get a little better protection. Tart and Caldwell have been good in the middle for them, but Caldwell’s questionable with an illness and Tart is no Jalen Carter. After trading Bosa, the Chargers are left with a rotation of 36-year-old Khalil Mack, Tuli Tuipulotu and Bud Dupree. The Vikings have seen better edge rushers. Darrisaw and O’Neill win this one.
What concerns me is Justin Herbert. This is the best QB the Vikings have faced this year. With all the inuries to the OL, the Chargers have struggled to protect him but he’s still moving the ball well, on pace for 4,500 yards and 32 TDs. If the Vikings aren’t able to get pressure on Herbert (and he may get Joe Alt back for this one), this could be a loooong Thursday night. Bet the over.
Vikings have not had a first half TD in 5 of 7 games this year. If McCarthy is not ready for whatever reason next week, it's time to see what the rookie has. It can't get much worse at this point.

Red zone kryptonite
Min 18 yds rushing
LAC 170 yds rushing
Jones/Mason vs Vidal
(And Hebert), but who figgers the QB?

Ugly. plus Vikings O with one four first downs in the first half.
When the Vikings are back on offense, please either put Brosmer in or run out the clock.

Don’t they mercy shoot horses at this point?

You know who is really enjoying this? Jim Harbaugh, who wanted the Vikings job but Kwesi went with KOC over him.
Carson Wentz just threw his helmet into the #Vikings' bench as he came off the field following the latest knockdown. Landed directly on his left shoulder.

Unbelievable. 29 first downs to 9.
That'll do it from SoFi Stadium. The Chargers beat the #Vikings 37-10, in an ugly game by just about every available metric.

The Chargers outgained the Vikings 419-135, had 29 first downs to the Vikings' 9, held the ball for 39:04 and sacked Carson Wentz five times.
Up next:…
Last few drives Wentz left the field writhing in pain, as soon as the game is over he's using his left arm to smack guys on the shoulder, we are being sold some serious bull shit.
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

You saying he was on Chauncey Billups payroll?

Chargers had given up over 300 yards and 7 tds on the ground last 3 games. Then the KOC offense arrived to show us rubes how football is supposed to work.

Allow me to correct a misconception. KAM had a relationship with Harbaugh from their time in San Francisco. That is why Harbaugh took the interview and I'm 100% certain KAM wanted to hire him.
Unfortunately Andrew Miller and the Wilfs nixed it, instead hiring Sean McVay's caddie to build a "culture". And that's where we are.
I said at the time they hired him to be g.m. and then cut his nuts off right out of the gate. Things might look a lot different here if theyd let him hire Harbaugh, but that's what they get for having a baseball analytics guy (Miller) basically overseeing everything. The best part for him is sooner or later his underlings will take the fall while he'll get to stay and hire more failures.
