Not too ambitious.
The way he handled Center in London, without any notable hitches, was a bright spot. Especially when you consider he had never played Center in the NFL.

Draftniks say next year is deep in OL....But if we have Kelly backfill already in house?

Giddy-up I say.

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

6-8 draftable Cs this year. 2 could easily go second round if not earlier.

But, they definitely have 2 in house as Kelly drifts off into retirement before his brains turn to mush.

He didn't play  center in high school or college.

He didn't play a snap at guard either.

That last name seems familiar.

I still think Huber should be moved to center, but it's good that Brandel now has experience at every position on the line. I wonder sometimes if we might not be better off with Brandel instead of Skule on the outside. Hopefully O'Neill is back this week making that a moot point.

Brandel gets the start at center, it might be The Saw - Jackson - Brandel - Fries - O'Neill today.

This may be our best combination of the year,   although I am not ready to annoint Brandel,   but he might fit the bill and be the best we've had there since Birk.

It's a little concerning that Brandel is a better option than Jurgens. Vikings were high on Jurgens when they drafted him, but it just doesn't look like he's who they thought he was. Swing and a miss on that one maybe. Rouse from the same class isn't looking much better.

Brandel's PFF grades at center weren't particularly good, but I think maybe what the Vikings like about him is his experience. He's a 6-year vet so he likely knows the offense and the line calls better than anyone. He's going to have his hands full today with Jalen Carter.

That's a common theme with this front office.

Brandel versus Carter and Jordan today is a mismatch.

Brandel is gonna struggle today.

Brandel again with a penalty that costs us a TD. Can we cut his ass at halftime?

Cut the DC that leaves a C isolated against a 3 man rush.

Or has a DB playing 10 off with no S help with the game on the line.

Or the HC and QB  that seems about as clueless with the clock and situation as I have ever seem in football.

This game was was still a potential win with 5 minutes to go, it was total shit from there on.

If we see Wentz start again heads should roll.  He was a total shit show today.

He threw scuds all over the field especially in the red zone.

I thought he'd play better. He hasn't cleaned up his game.

He looks scattered and off

Easy for me to say in retrospect, but this was not a stellar game from BFlo or KOC. I'm surprised we had a chance to win it as late as we did tbh.

That was one of the worst calls ever, was not a hold, the defender slipped and fell and Brandel shoved him down as he was falling, no chance that would have been called on Philly.  No excuse for a NFL ref to make a call like that.

That call didn't look right, and it took points off the board that changed the game.

Even without the questionable holding call that erased a touchdown, he snaps the ball over Wentz's head which kills our first drive and makes us settle for a long field goal. He got beat badly which caused the Wentz interception for a touchdown. He had a lot to do with us losing today.

His Second start ever as a center....ever....in his life.... Wentz sucked ass today,  one play is no excuse for the way he played.
