Vikings @ Steelers

You know what QBs are on 3rd & long against Minnesota this year? 1-for-18

A pretty typical play from yesterday. Either Kelly or Wentz fails to recognize the blitz, so that results in a free runner to the QB. Wentz's first read on the left is covered. If he had recognized the blitz, he would've gone to the side that player vacated, where both Jefferson and Mason were open and likely would've scored.

Yah, the FA signings are not flashing on the field like I'd hoped...Least not yet. Plenty of criticism for coaches and players. Then we have little to no impact from our 2 #1 draft choices from 24 - and that is a growing concern for me re: Turner. I'm keeping the JJM is glass thoughts from creeping in too.
I'll know we're in real dire straights if the players start calling for a no coaches meeting soon.
Ok, enough of that darkness. Lets get a win Sunday and move on!!
You think the Rams laughed at us when we took Turner over Verse like we laughed at Philly for taking Reagor over Jefferson?

Maybe, I was 100% in on Turner at the time....My Micah in purple.
It's not trending that way unfortunately. I dont know what this guys ceiling is.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
i cant find the snap counts to confirm or disprove, but it seemed like the Hitman wasnt on the field much yesterday, is he on a snap count or something? Or did my bourbon cloud my ability to see 22?
Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

there were several times it appeared that our LBs werent in the right positions for the formations and thats what got me watching as he was usually better at getting people lined up than the green dot guys.

I'm not sure if Pace wears the green dot now?
I will say this D misses CAshman probably the most, followed by GINK

wasnt Wilson wearing it, or was that only when Pace was out a few weeks ago?

Don't forget that the Steelers made an all-time horrific decision to punt yesterday and got away with it because the Vikings can't have nice things pic.twitter.com/psPe8m6rNq

Small encouragement but I'll take it. The biggest bottom line for the Vikings might just be Carson Wentz having just 4 weeks in this offense before getting thrown to the wolves.
Tyler Forness@TheRealForno
The Vikings have some issues on the offensive line, but it's not nearly as bad as it appears. Pro Football Focus charted 21 total pressures on 54 total dropbacks, and no blocker had more than 3 pressures. Carson Wentz was responsible for 6 pressures and 4 sacks
Tyler Forness@TheRealForno
Week 2 Blockers: 16 pressures and 5 sacks responsible for
J.J. McCarthy: 0 pressures and 1 sack responsible for
Veteran or not, Wentz is still operating on a fraction of the time the full-offseason players got...and that means he has to think and process more, which adds to time holding the ball.
On the other hand, JJM was also holding the ball too long, and we know that KOC has a deep love of longer-maturing plays. Sadly, balancing them against dodgy protection has told a consistent tale with QBs from Cousins through to Wentz; the defense will have more time to get to our QB.
It's brilliant when it works, obviously, but our QBs are target practice when it doesn't.
We'll see what KOC, Wentz, and the rest will learn this week...early on Sunday morning.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....
This was my impression as well...
After watching the all-22 I owe KO an apology. He schemed guys open whenever he could. Throws just weren’t made.

Justin was right where he was supposed to be given the defense. Wentz has plenty of time to get him the ball and he just doesn't throw it. Wentz wasn't horrible in this game, but if he hits half of these it's a different game.
Hopping through the all-22 and this one stood out to me a bit. pic.twitter.com/enHHmf57ME
