2025 NFL Mock Drafts

That makes three recent mocks that have us taking a safety. I can definitely see the wisdom in that. Still think CB and RB are the most likely at this point, but Safety is closing fast.
Yah, I agree S is up there in need...They have Harry around for 1 more season, could mentor the kid.
I still think they'll be tempted if the DT from Oregon is there.
Feels like a trade-down year too with so few picks.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

I think DT moved down quite a bit with the additions we made in free agency. It's still definitely among the options, but again, I think the Vikings really like the youth they have there in Jalen Redmond and Levi Drake Rodriguez.

I would love the Starks pick. If for no other reason than to see the fanbase lose their sh!t after we draft another UGA safety coming on the heels of the Cine debacle. But Cine's and Starks' games are total opposites. Cine is an in the box safety. Starks was one of the best cover safties in college ball last season. His pass coverage is so good that I could see Flores devising packages where Starks would play in the slot.

Yeah, I don't get the "Cine was a bust so Starks will be a bust" thing.

I still contend its not a position you burn a 1st round pick on unless you are taking a Sean Taylor-esque impact player. This league is littered with safeties who were high draft picks who are on their 3rd or 4th teams, and that's not just Lewis Cine.
There's no way you draft a safety over the cornerbacks, defensive lineman, offensive lineman, or running backs that would be available for us to choose from when we pick.
Just plug in Booker immediately at LG and that O-line is going to be a f-ing load to deal with. Booker is also a good buddy of McCarthy's, high school friends.

I agree, but I think it depends on where you are in the 1st round and where the value is in each particular draft. I wouldn't take S, NT, IOL or off ball LB in the top 15, but in the 20s it makes more sense.

I wouldn't even look at one before the mid second round as a general rule. The Harrison Smith's of the world are like unicorns and more times than not you end up with the Lewis Cine's of the world. Use premium picks at premium positions of impact. Lineman, quarterbacks, pass rushers, corners, and skill position players on offense (dudes that score points). Hoping Kwesi figured out that you build a roster from the front to the back, and not the opposite way around.
I like this outcome with no trades. Phillips is a very good NT and he will fit in well with what we did in FA. I am just very high on Harvey. Revel Jr is the CB we need that we don't have. I like Pace, but he is atrocious in pass defense. We need an upgrade there.

Agree. Vikings would be wise to add a developmental QB either in the draft or after, provided of course we can flesh out the back half of our draft. But man, this draft is horrible. Can't see any of these players helping us in 2025.

No offense, but this is probably one of the worsts scenarios I have seen. I think we would need a trade down situation to take a developmental QB. YOu don't take one with staying with 4 picks IMO
I like Kobe King however. It is a position that needs to be added at MLB
Sticky, This would be a scenario where we take a QB. This draft would be very plausible. West brings you that NT for the next 5 years. You get your CB and RB. Grant would be plugged in at LG. The trade down isn't out of the question in this situation. I would be very happy if it were to fall this way. You can trade out Harvey with Martinez as well. I would be happy with either. Just have something for Harvey.

Been working on scenarios with taking a RB first with focusing around Judkins. I just don't like the outcome as much. I like being able to get into a situation where taking Revel, Amos, Thomas is much better. This could be a likely scenario as well if KOC really likes Judkins or Henderson.
If Grant falls to 24, we may be compelled to stay put and take him. I would love this scenario as well. Grant being there is a huge if. I keep mocking Rivers, because I he can play any position on the line, and I believe would make an all pro G in the NFL. Plug him in at LG.
If for some damn reason Collins was there, please make this happen. This would be an absolute dream of a draft if the Vikings could pull it off and find a trade partner. Been doing a lot of work with the draft over the last couple years. Do I think Collins will be there? No. Absolutely not. Buth anything is possible, and this would be striking gold.
Top 11%. Like this one.

You get your NT that I am very high on Phillips. I like Malachi Moore better than Castro, but he wasn't there. I don't see us drafting a RB now at all without a decent trade down package. You get a S that can take over. Rivers can be plugged in at LG. We don't need a T. Rivers can also be the player that can fill in when needed with injuries.
