What about Kirko back to Vikings as Qb2?
Well you knew someone would eventually bring it up.
Never say never lol!
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
It will be interesting how it plays out. I have a feeling Atlanta is going to find out their issues run much deeper than just Kirko and also that Penix is the same QB that wilted in the championship game last year. I think Kirko actually ends back at QB for them again this year if they remain in contention.

Maybe....
But with only 3 games left, I think that is a long-shot scenario. Unless Penix gets injured or just sucks royally, my guess is that Kirko is done for 24 in ATL.

Who really knows what they’ll do, but I think the smart move would be for them to hang onto Cousins until closer to camp and make a decision at that time. Let that foot heal and give him every chance to get back to normal, maximize his trade value or earn his starting job back, unless Penix looks amazing.
I’ll be curious to hear more stories as they come out about what actually was happening. Like how much of it his ankle? Is favoring his ankle causing other problems? Is the OC changing the scheme on the fly and he just isn’t a fast learner and its more of a mental thing than a physical thing?

Kirk would never settle for being the backup so that is a big fat NO!
Joke is on him. He’s now a backup.
It’s not the benching. It’s what the benching represents.

Ha...well played.
No! He looked thrilled to leave for more money and it seemed like he was really not open to a team discount, especially with the little tampering going on just before signing with the Falcons.

Well, starting this weekend, he is officially a backup in ATL.
I cant fully understand what happened...Big part of me still believes its physical and not between the ears.

Hell to the Nah
You could very well be right Sticky...In all these years of watching pro ball, this level of decline this quickly? I dont recall it happening too often.
I'd feel bad for the guy, but his great grandkids wont have to work if they dont want to.

Kirko will take the Russell Wilson route this offseason since Atlanta is still on the hook for his 2025 salary.
Cousins has offset language in his contract with the Falcons; if he were released in Atlanta, it wouldn't even cost the Vikings that much to sign him. Russell Wilson is playing on a league minimum deal with the Steelers. https://t.co/JkTTKClQug
