MNF - curious to see Cousins
Falcons play the Eagles tonight on MNF.
I'm curious to see Cousins in action for myself. So much has been said about his recovery (or lack thereof) from Achilles surgery, immobility, etc.
I won't judge until I see it with my own eyes, but six seasons of watching him will give any of us the ability to really judge if he's lost the proverbial step, if he's past his "Best Before" date, and if we dodged a bullet by saying "thanks, no thanks".
Mostly curious to see it with my own eyes...then I'll have an opinion.
I have the Sunday Ticket and watched part of the Atlanta game. He looked timid. Like a guy who was seeing live bullets for the first time since he tore his Achilles and he didn't have a red shirt on to protect him.
The ball was coming out quick and short and he wasn't moving much or pushing off his back foot.
It'll be interesting to see if getting that first game under his belt gives him confidence and he looks more like Kirk from last year... Or if it's still in his head.
It's MNF
It's on the road
It's the Eagles (one of my picks for NFC CG)
I would not be expecting too much if I was a Dirty Birdie fan.
I will turn it on myself, at least for a 1/4 or 2.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
I don't think what you see tonight will really be an accurate reflection on if he's past his expiration date, as much as it will be a reflection on where he is in his recovery process. I don't think he's fully healed yet or at least fully comfortable on his ankle yet. I don't think he's comfortable in the Falcons system. I think we'll probably see at least another 2-3 games of Bad Kirk before he turns the corner into what you can expect going forward, and even then he'll be pretty stiff looking. I would expect him to be markedly better next year than this, but it will probably still be below the performance of him prior to his injury.

Probably fair to say. If you are correct, then we picked the right time to move on.
I didn't see the week 1 game, but after the knee-jerk responses got over with, here's what seems to be the case:
1. His leg might be healed, but he isn't throwing/moving like he totally trusts it. That only comes from activity and playing, which leads to point #2...
2. Keeping him in bubble wrap during the preseason cost him more familiarity with his healing process, the timing of his players and the system. Practice doesn't have the same "burn in" as game time, and his lack of it showed throughout.
Given how many people, including sports bobbleheads, seem poised to dump on him for simply breathing on any given day, I'm hoping he gets some redemption.
KOC, JJM, Flores...make a good plan, or you'll be following Kwesi....
Mike Hughes is a starter for the Falcons!? I didn't even know he was still in the league
He is moving better this week. It's only noticeable when he tries to turn. Time will tell how much more comfortable and stronger he gets. Quick plays are definitely helping
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
The constant Kelce brothers sloppy top fest on every broadcast and commercial break is brutal. I'm over seeing those two on everything. F off and take Taylor with you
I'm really OK with this.
Kirko gets some redemption.
Sam Darnold gets redemption, benefitting the Vikings.
The Vikings get redemption, reminding everyone who we were before the injuries took us off track.

I'm happy for Kirk and will always root for him as long as it's not against the Vikings. He was locked in on that last drive, and you can tell he still isn't moving around as normal.
always luv when the Eagles lose.
Kirko looked much better this week - he definitely had some rust to knock-off.
I'm like others here, wish the guy and his family well, dont want him to get a ring before us though.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
