One rule in Viking football, don't mess with the helmet. Those are head to toe awful. I would have thought the ridiculous whiteout game would have been trashed by now. The games feels like some terribly staged movie set and the energy of the stadium does not seem the same. More throwback uniform games and get rid of this marketing infatuation with Disney's Frozen.

I would like them to do an alt uni that featured some gold, purple with a gold helmet maybe.   I grew up watching them play every home game in all white with black shoes.  It doesn't excite me.  Probably the memory of the painful losses lol.

Hate it. Every team now goes either all black or all white for these "alternate uniforms" with zero originality. I guess I should just be thankful they didn't kick out the "rainbow warrior" addition uniforms in the teams unwavering support of liberal causes. I'm sure it's coming, give them a couple years...

Nah, I'm with ya, I like them too. It's one game, it's different, it's cool (imo). I just joined the thread too late, saw all the negative replies and didn't want to get run out of the room... LoL!

They’re wearing them on Monday Night Football, week 15 against da Bears, it may well be time to wave the white flag by then anyway…  :cool: :angel:

In getting over the shock of the sight of a non-purple helmet and while waiting for an animated character to come out and sing Let It Go, another thing I noticed that is interesting is that while there a lot of different players and positions represented in the pics, but there are no QBs, Jones is in there and he signed at the same time as Darnold and Pace is wearing 0 which was not announced until around the draft, so it seems as though this may have been taken after the draft and for sure after Darnold was signed. Maybe a team decision to not get into it with the uncertainty of the QB position or could just be simply they were not available.

Guess I'm in the minority. I think they're sweet.

You must not follow the teams social media accounts much. They recognize everything from Muslim heritage, Indigenous people month, to whatever sexual preference awareness anybody may have. None of which has anything to do with football, but oh no...that doesn't stop the Wilfs from fluffing the rest of the fanbase. Why do they not have a Christian recognition month?
