A ton of LBers, when we need the beef in the middle up front to keep those LBers clean.

Vikings tried with Wilkins, but it got to be crazy funny money time and they had to pass. They've done a really good job so far in free agency, but you can't land everyone you want. No team operates in a vacuum in free agency. Hopefully the Draft will provide a NT.
Might this be true???
We havent had a decent replacement for Shariff Floyd since he went lame?

The only guy on our roster who even came close to the NT mold was Tonga and he didn't see many snaps last year. In fact, he played much better under Donatell than Flores. And they let him go this year. In last year's draft the only DL we drafted was Roy and he's far from a fatty.@"mgobluevikes" said: A ton of LBers, when we need the beef in the middle up front to keep those LBers clean. Yuck.
upgraded Patrick Jones spot.

They went after Wilkins, so....yeah I think they want one.
Am I not getting something with the comp draft picks? I think it's the consensus that KJO signing with NE got us to two possible third round comp picks in next years draft because it was enough 1 year $4MM to offset one of the other signings for the Vikings, thereby uncovering Cousins and Hunter. Did we lose one of those thirds yesterday by signing Griffith for 1 year $6MM? If not, would it have something to do with KJO's money being guaranteed while Griffith's is a bonus that's set up and unlikely to achieve to get to $6MM? Also, I don't understand how KJO's deal for 1yr and $4MM is one of the Top 32 contracts signed during FA, as was explained on some other podcast.
And would signing this LB put the second 3rd round comp pick at risk?

Sigh. The DT/NT in a 3-4.
just what we need...another JIHAD
Two more linebacking additions for the Vikings: They've signed linebacker Jihad Ward, and agreed to terms with Kamu Grugier-Hill.

They certainly are loading up on the defensive side of the ball in free agency.
I highly doubt it that they all make it to the final 53 man roster...
Obviously we are running a 2- 6 -3 next season
