Scammers suck unfortunately organized religion is a great opportunity for scammers to find suckers, nothing new there. Building funds have been a way to hide money for quite some time. There will always be a scammer and there will always be a sucker

That’s unfortunate and definitely douchey, but this seems
lower to middle tier on the “special places in hell” hierarchy. Like your run of the mill federal politician probably
has profited more doing things that harmed his constituents and that doesn’t
include those hooked into the Epstein issues, or guys like Lindsey Graham who wants
to bomb anything that moves.
