Kurt Warner on Dobbs-breakdown
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
All due respect to Mr. Warner, who knows football much better than I do, Dobbs isn't a good QB. Nice story and seems like a good kid, but not a starting QB in the NFL. He's had plenty of chances.
Or as Heavy.com puts it: "Hall of Fame QB Slams Vikings for Benching Josh Dobbs"
Public service announcement: Do not click on Heavy.com articles. They're nothing more than a sports tabloid who takes articles written by others, then re-writes them using exaggerated language and sensationalistic headlines for clicks....and they're everything that's wrong with media today.

Yep. I just mentioned my intense hatred for Heavy.com yesterday or the day before. Complete fucking clickbait garbage.
I'm sure Dobbs wasn't fully to blame for the Vikings inability to move the ball, and if you break things down micro enough, you can probably find a dozen things to support whatever point you're trying to make.
But the plain and obvious fact is that Dobbs didn't move the ball. He held the ball too long, took unnecessary sacks and threw balls that endangered his receivers, while Mullens led the Vikings on their only scoring drive immediately upon entering the game.
Sometimes if you focus too sharply on the trees you don't see the forrest.
The Dobbs decision was based on his last couple of games, not just 1/2 of the Raiduhs...He had his chance, moment in the sun - whatever you want to call it.
The dude is hopefully at peace about it (at some point) as I am sure he left everything out there.
So few people have the skills to excel as an NFL QB..
Dobbs is a pretty good QB2. He wasnt good against the Raider's and his arm limits his ability to run this Offense. His receivers dropped several balls that would have made a difference. Yes he threw a bad ball to JJ. BFD, happens alot.
Well thats a tad alarming. Was it the play calling/WRs getting open or was it Dobbs? If it wasn't as much Dobbs, putting in Mullens isn't going to do a damn thing.

Yep, I refuse to read anything on their site.
Wait here’s the latest:
Vikings Predicted to Soon Bench Nick Mullens for $4 Million QB :s
I just thought it was a good breakdown and showed the ripple effect of the issues on offense. I get that Kurt Warner is all about the underdog but he does a good job of explaining the situations and decisions made

Now his pre snap read might have been the other side…
From what i have seen recently, beside getting the ball out slowly, Dobbs lack of arm strength hurts him in this o with alot of intermediate routes.
And despite all the over the top fan stuff like KOC/ Kwesi is stupid, Dobbs was a nice move that kept us in the hunt.
Jaren Hall will be the backup QB on Saturday. Passtronaut demoted to emergency 3rd QB
