Sucks. But that is football. The team looks very solid at 4-4, winning 3 in a row and now this. I do feel bad for Kirk and the team. The season is a grind and lots of prep and hard work goes into it, along with emotion, and they all must be deflated. I don't know what they are going to do, but they'll be signing a QB for the roster.....whether its a big name or just backfill, I have zero idea. If the team wants to lose games, get Mannion in the rotation. If they are curious what they have in the rookie, go with Jaren Hall. Nick Mullens injury must be problematic.

The team finally gets a rushing TD, much better in the red zone and now this. Sigh. So Viking. I'm also really sick of the kicking situation. They can't be trusted on almost every team. I thought Joseph had figured things out, but of course not. The D is playing much better under Flores.

Will be an interesting 2 days before the trade deadline. Vikings bailing or buying? Outside of Jaren Hall blowing our doors off unexpectedly, I don't see how the season can be salvaged. My guess is the team is going to ride with Mullens after the Falcons game.

For sure. If we want to tank, that's our man.

I feel very bad for the team and Kirk, for all the reasons that you mentioned Sticky. It’s like going from 100 mph and then just slamming into a wall.

The worst of it all is the uncertainty, not just in the short term but now way out into the future. Of course it happens to every team eventually (see our opponents, the Packers, as one obvious example) but this is not the way it should have happened. This just plain sucks and it’s not only overwhelmingly deflating but also very, very sad.

When Rogers went down at the Jets opener, I thought a Viking fan can really relate to that.

Now this.

I'm bummed, but resigned to nothing more than just riding the season out at this point.

Go with Hall.  Trade Hunter, and shoot for the draft...

I feel as bad as I did when Teddy's leg fell off.  There's been some very bad days in the history of the Vikings.  This one is up there.  It isn't Korey Stringer bad by a mile but it still hurts bad.

I dont know that its at that level,  with Teddy he was at the start of his career and had a lot to look forward to,  Kirk ( although still playing well ) is in the autumn of his, and honestly has very little left to prove.   I dont know what this will mean for KC going forward,  but the uncertainty for him now is where most of my empathy falls in the situation,  but no matter how this turns out,  he will be fine.

Yep, he's a dude that knows who he is. Genuine. Has a beautiful wife and family. A man of faith, which is big for him personally. Plenty of $$$. Only 35 years old. He's more than fine.

But its also sad because he's a competitor. He cares about his teammates. He was coming into his own with the fanbase as Kirko Chainz. He was slinging the shit out of the rock. Its an abrupt ending.

Teddy was never the player that Kirko is/was.  This team had a chance with what we saw this season.
