We aren’t tanking anymore. We have no other realistic option at QB and Cousins is playing lights out. Its time to back up the Brinks truck and get it done.

I’m not sure he wants a brinks truck full
of money. I mean, it will be a lot, but he wants to stay in Minnesota so it may be more affordable than we think.

Was thinking the same. Perhaps a 2-3 year deal? No way we get a rookie QB to play as well as Kirk is playing. Our OL seems to be much improved and giving him time too.

Which is exactly the worry in paying Cousins big money on an extension. Age and injury risk..

Now what lol, do you pay him anyway?  Will some other team be willing to pay big for a FA QB coming off a major injury?

If it is an achillies, I don't think you can. You know the price tag, he's 35, and he wouldn't be ready until mid-season next year at the earliest.

What will be interesting is if we roll with the rookie or do we try to trade for a veteran? Just a shitty situation all around

You do not spend a draft pick on a lost season if Kirk is out for extended time.  No way.

This is so tough because the defense is balling out and the OL is so much better than it's been the past couple of years. Things really seemed to be clicking and now... this.
"Do you pay Kirk anyway?" No. Unless it's on the cheap (~$10M?) for one year. Even then, probably no.
"Do you trade for someone?" I don't have a good answer for this. If JJ is back in 2 weeks I guess I'd consider it but man, we don't have many picks to trade, especially if we're targeting QB, which we should be. Trying to save this season-- which is understandable to some end based on how the team is looking lately-- while also trying to build for the future is going to be a really, really tough needle to thread.
"Do you roll with Hall/Mullens ?" Ugh. I think this is our best option. This sucks.

So the logical thing to do then is to trade assets and reload for next season if they dont believe in Hall

His whole calf shimmied straight up on contact.  It was his Achilles.

Just when I was enjoying the Love era, win @ Lamblow, win after SF...

Rest of this season (and next) is a complete unknown now.

Yikes.
