The author of this is from New Jersey and works for SI.com. Wrote for the NJ Ledger as well. Not very old, I think maybe mid-30s? Yeah, these kids live for the Draft and picks for some reason.

that's because it's Cincinnati. There isn't a lot to talk about there. They are a franchise that has sucked out loud for so many decades, they are used to talking about next year 3-4 weeks into the season. Add to that, there hasn't been a good reporter there since the five time winner of the buckeye newshawk award retired. (damn, I'm old)
