Christian Darrisaw off injury report, Marcus Davenport out for Vikings

Vikings left tackle Christian Darrisaw is set to return to the lineup this weekend.
Darrisaw is off the team's final injury report of the week, which puts him on track to play against the Chargers on Sunday. Darrisaw was active for last Thursday's game against the Eagles after being listed as questionable, but he never played after aggravating his ankle injury during pregame warmups.
Center Garrett Bradbury may also be back for the Vikings. Bradbury missed last Thursday with a back injury and is listed as questionable after a return to limited practice participation this week.
Defensive end Marcus Davenport will not be playing. Davenport tried to play through an ankle injury last week, but wound up leaving after four games. (he means snaps)
What a lost sunken cost Davenport is. Maybe he just understands the gravy train he is on and will ride it as long as he can. Horrible signing.

Maybe wait until we see how he plays when he's healthy before calling it a horrible signing? Might it end up being a horrible signing? Sure, anything's possible. It's also still possible he ends up playing well for us when he's healthy.
@"MaroonBells" said:Like Z last year, only Davenport is hurt at the start. And like Hunter a few years ago. Injuries suck, but that isn't what makes it a bad signing.@"Greylock" said: What a lost sunken cost Davenport is. Davenports Uncle is Dimitrius Underwood
Thusfar that huge thud you hear is the contributions from our new free agent signings. Oliver...boy that power run game sure is cooking after giving him 21 million dollars. Davenport...nada, same as his sack total last season. Lowry...I mean, can you be anymore non impactful? Powell...holding onto the football is beneficial.
Murphy is the only one that's played pretty well. But hey, let's "let Kwesi cook" as the kids like to say...

@"MaroonBells" said:He has missed 19 games in 5 year career and he has averaged 4 sacks a season, so you gave 13 million to a guy who can't stay on the field and has not had great production, I would call that a not very smart signing from the start and it has turned into a very bad signing as this is a guy we were counting on and here we are 3 games in and he hasn't sniffed the field and we have no idea when we will see him. Add that to the money we spent on a backup TE and there is 21+ million that could have been used on the OL and DL.@"Greylock" said: What a lost sunken cost Davenport is. I'd like to add to this anti-Davenport story, but I think it's pretty well covered...
Hopefully Darrisaw plays. I'd like see Kirk have a little breathing room in the pocket on Sunday.
Marcus Davenport’s Lackadaisical Locker Room Interview Shows a Concerning Lack of Urgency
It appears that everyone in the organization from the front office, to the coaching staff, along with the players are extremely motivated to do everything in their power to make an impact and help this team remain competitive in the NFC North... Except for Marcus Davenport, who gave a lackadaisical locker room interview and didn’t show the same level of urgency or professionalism as the rest of the team.
He was also super vague about the supposed “progress” he’s been making and refused to elaborate on how he felt compared to last week. As a key player on the defense, I was expecting him to talk about how he’s focused on helping the team win in any way possible, even on the sidelines by giving advice and being a leader or a mentor to guys like Patrick Jones and D.J. Wonnum. Instead, he didn’t seem too concerned about the current state of the team after an 0-2 start.
Yeah I saw that interview. Could be a goofy personality or he could just be a turd. If his attitude towards football is reflective of this interview it might explain why he hasn't lived up to his draft billing (and FA money this year).

If that bozo Dougie interviewed me I'd start yawning too. Hell I'd probably fall asleep.
