did vikings get caught looking ahead to the eagles
sloppy game. turnovers, penalties play calling not always the best. did the vikings spend to much time on work on Thursday game and over look the bucs some.
How would you ever be able to differentiate between “All
those things because we were looking ahead” and “All those things because it
was just the first game or generic not playing good?”
I dont think so...Hard to overlook the opener imo.
i think what we saw was more about a lack of preseason reps against live situations.
There are teams that look incredible today, and they’ll miss playoffs.

Teams that are garbage, and will have a home playoff game.
Week 1 is a liar. Always has been. pic.twitter.com/wwcmREmWkq
This was a very important missed opportunity against a less than powerful team at HOME and in the CONFERENCE. SMH
@"Bullazin" said: This was a very important missed opportunity against a less than powerful team at HOME and in the CONFERENCE. SMHits sucks, but even with our stupid tough schedule, if they cant overcome one shit loss... they arent a contender to begin with. they have 16 more games to make up for this loss, or this loss really doesnt matter anyway IMO. ( personally I think last year was a mirage and they are not the team that some think they are, there are some nice tools there, but not enough to make up for the deficiencies at key areas.)
Nobody was ready to play football in the NFL’s saddest opening Sunday (msn.com)
A special Week 1 shout out belongs to the Minnesota Vikings. If you’ve spent hours like I have watching Secret Base’s “Dorktown: The History of the Minnesota Vikings” then you know that the most dangerous thing for this team is thinking there’s a “gimme,” and they earned the upset of the week by dropping a game to Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers, despite having more than 100 yards of total offense and allowing only one sack.
Minnesota’s second half was one of the most pathetic performances of the week as Justin Jefferson managed to only register two catches for 12 yards in the final two quarters. The otherworldly WR looked despondent on the bench, realizing that the reason this game slipped away was solely because of Kirk Cousins and his three turnovers.
Vikings fans who wanted to know why Cousins wasn’t ranked higher in preseason polls or why Minnesota was a mid-tier team in Power Rankings: Sunday is precisely why,

If they intend to make him the highest paid non-quarterback in the league then this is a pathetic stat period. No way he should have been taken away by the Bucs, he is just to good for that.

he cant throw himself the ball, was he really taken away or was Kirk simply looking elsewhere? I saw one in the back of the endzone that Kirk missed JJ for what should have been 6.
Rodgers would give Adams a chance
Mahomes forces it to Kelce
Burrow gets the ball to Chase in critical moments
Kirk goes with the protocol, down open in the flat . . . vs going to the league's best playmaker.
I think the all 22 is going to be telling

I used to love the all 22... my heart cant take it anymore. you see so many would coulda shouldas, but in the end, we dont see what player X could see ( we can assume) but reality is often far different. its hard to remember that these guys arent superhumans and can see every play, even if they are getting paid like they should be able to.

Agreed on All 22 but what you will see is Jefferson open and often. It's the QB that needs to step back and be a gunslinger than a high percentage robot, be realistic and get the man the ball.
If we dont commit to the run, Kirk is going to get hurt. thats on KOC
If you just looked at the stats you'd figure we won by two touchdowns. Turnovers and a lot of go either way plays that went the Bucks way were the difference.
I don't get too worked up about week one. As for looking ahead, not likely. That's kind of a fan trope, like "trap game". NFL players don't generally have those issues in this era but old media narratives from 50 years ago die hard. They might underestimate a weak opponent but "looking past" is just not a thing.

when we had season tickets I loved the upper deck, but closer to the rail. the view up there was much like the all 22, I could see everything, close enough to see the holding and shit, but up high enough to see over the players on the sidelines, and to be able to see the whole play without moving my head or eyes to much. I know its a lot of fun to be right down on the sidelines with the players, but if you really want to see the game, those middle seats cant be beat, kind of would like to see a whole game from the all 22 just to see what that would be like live.

When I lived in Kansas City, my friend had seats in row 1 of the upper deck on the 50 yard line at Arrowhead. Best seats ever for watching football.
Back to OP:
I think the Viking might be looking past the Eagles and ahead to the Chargers :)

Perhaps we are overlooking the entire schedule and focusing on the playoffs :s
