Vikings sign WR N'Keal Harry
Former 1st round pick of the Patriots. Sounds like they aren't liking the depth behind JJ, Addison and Osborne
Harry is the latest example of the Vikings taking a flier on a young player that hasn’t exactly panned out to this point.Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is once again buying the dip.
After hosting receiver N’Keal Harry for a workout at TCO Performance Center, the Vikings announced Sunday that they have signed him to a contract. It’s the latest example of Adofo-Mensah taking a flier on a young player who hasn’t exactly panned out to this point.
After being selected by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Harry struggled to gain traction with the organization. He eventually was released, then spent some time with the Chicago Bears last season. He has 64 catches for 714 yards in 40 NFL career games.
This is probably the last chance Harry has to make it in the NFL. He will join a group of receivers that doesn’t seem to be set in stone outside of Justin Jefferson, K.J. Osborn and Jordan Addison.
There’s a small chance the 25-year-old Harry could have some untapped potential. His massive 6-foot-4, 225-frame is certainly intriguing as a potential target in the red zone.
Maybe the most important thing Harry provides the Vikings is an extra body with training camp in full swing. Some notable injuries over the past couple of weeks include Jalen Nailor and Trishton Jackson, a pair of receivers who were off to strong starts in camp.

Will apparently wear #28....bad move
A nice carpool buddy for Reagor.
I mean why the hell not, it's low risk
Right now JJ at 6'1" is the only WR who is likely to make the roster who is over 6 feet, could possibly feel as though we need a red zone threat, especially if there is something to the TJ thing.

camp body.
Strange, you would think that looking at the roster they would use this open spot on the roster for a guard/center type.
What? Why? I know Kwesi has a thing for former high draft picks, but Harry is awful. One of the biggest busts in NFL history. Even the Bears couldn't use him. Makes me nervous about Jalen Nailor's injury.

"Hasn't exactly panned out to this point" is a kind-- albeit wordy-- way of saying "stinks".

Assuming they don't get off the freeway a couple exits to early to Winter Park.
....and just signed another WRer.
The #Vikings have signed WR Jacob Copeland (@JCope1era) and waived WR Cephus Johnson III.https://t.co/IpN2S6Mbqj pic.twitter.com/rwzQHdzp8i

Interesting how unstable the bottom of the roster seems to be with this regime. Its probably a good thing that they're not letting any stones go unturned, but at some point its the 53 that matter.

There must be some analytics that implies you can sift through trash and find treasure and our g.m. is testing it out once again. But I'm sorry to say Kwesi, it ain't so.

This latest move Copeland for Johnson, who really cares, neither are going to make the 53 man roster so what's the harm in trying somebody else to run with the team during camp. How many times do we hear during the draft that this player or that player isn't a scheme fit, well maybe that's the case here.
