Receipts
We're all wrong occasionally. It even happened to me once in the early 90s. B) But the receipts here are satisfying to watch.
impossible for one guy to be more right while another is more wrong in a single video

Its crazy how absolutely stupid some of these opinions can be by 'experts'. But having said that, what some people don't understand is Skip Bayless is an actor. He's paid to be a villain and some lap it up like his schtick isn't totally contrived. There are no ratings without polar opposite takes. Stephen A. Smith is almost as obnoxious but again, he's paid to be that guy.

I suspect you're right about Bayless playing a role. If he were being honest with himself there would be a touch of humility.
Either way, I hate draft analysts like this, if you can even call them that. There's no balancing of positives and negatives. They've fallen into a "camp" where truth is irrelevant.
i was as wrong as wrong can be when it came to Johnny Football...What a flame-out that poor guy was.
As much as I pride myself on intuition for much of what life throws my way, I have absolutely none when it comes to how a college QB will transition to the NFL.

I said Manziel would be playing in Canada in three years and I couldn't have been more wrong. Took him four. B)
I did think Mariota would be a star though. Remember all the Winston vs. Mariota debates? That was probably another board, but they went on for pages. And both sides were wrong. I mean sometimes it just makes no sense.
Ok. I don't want this to go into the other section. But how can you folks talk football when the country is going to hell? I'm astonished. Where is your sense of being America the place you live being first. Or you have no feelings at all? I'm just beyond shocked at you folks.

Agreed.

This is where society is on everything.

This is where we can maybe (just maybe) escape some of what difficulties life throws our way and enjoy a sports passion.
Please respect that.

Agreed.I dont think RS and that scouting staff had much QB intuition either. I guess we have to hold out for some football god luck or hope this regime is much better at forecasting fit and potential.
The NFL teams have an almost infinite amount of resources to
get it right and they get it wrong a lot.
I don’t really hold it against people for getting things wrong. Especially those of us without the resources
to really get to know the guys and their personalities. I kind of think you can predict which players
are going to be a success or a bust, more based on what team they go to, rather
than their predraft analyses.
Regarding media guys saying outlandish things because it
draws attention to themselves and makes them more money. It sucks that they exist, but they’re going
to keep existing as long as people keep reacting to things that are new,
exciting and controversial more than things that are uncontroversial.

An inexact science, to say the least. Hit at the QB spot and great things can happen. Otherwise its just a ton harder to win consistently.

Yup. Cowherd as well.

I don't know much about college players, but I wasn't wrong about Johnny "college football".
His name rivals that of "the Boz".

Ok. I can understand we all need our escapes. To each his own I guess. For me I've lost pretty much all passion for this team and sports in general since the days we met in training camp. 50+ years of wishing and hoping for a Championship for what? There's always next year...sorry but for me I'm done.Being retired and watching my girls grow up in what was once a great country just gets under my skin. To many just don't give shit anymore. I still do and it's frustrating as hell.
Rant over. Carry on folks.

I remember hooking up with you, the girls and others at a couple of those get togethers...I wish your girls the very best and you too.You and I certainly have our political differences, but we alwayts had a good time together.
This country needs lots of healing, compassion, less division and political grandstanding.
I'm hoping we all get to enjoy one Lombardi b4 our days are done.
Rant over here too.
SKOL
I was so hell to the no on Manziel at the time. I just thought he was going to flame out.
PM,
I can talk about sports and other life interests and care about what is going on in the country and the world. I don't have a lot of control over some of those big picture things but I can also enjoy the good things in life and be thankful for that. I am not going to give into the fear and anger, I will make a difference where I can. We all have to make our choices I guess. Be well and take care of you

I have many similar feelings regarding the country, the world and what not.But part of the issue is politics dominating every waking moment. I had to step back and stop consuming so much information on this because it isn't healthy to be consumed by it. Having a common interest with people of other backgrounds, opinions and politics is actually more of what is needed in this country.
To put it simply, there is enough division and it can be found anywhere. Not saying we just need to sing kumbaya, but having a space to talk football with fellow Viking fans is part of having a healthy outlook on life.
