Bradford out....
Well, here we go again. Would like to see them actually go thru a season without this kind of setbacks. Guess we'll see if Keenum is up to the task.
Yah, it gets old. When they moved the kid from the practice squad? Pretty good tell.
Lets just hope its not season lingering...Best case is he's back for an even more important home game vs Lions next week.
And I still have really bad memories of how last years games vs them went. Ugh.
This kind of stuff is why I had no excitement about this season. Then the way they played against the Saints gets you thinking maybe everything is going to be ok this year. Then someone punches you right in the stomach.
Now what QB are we going to trade for? Son of a BEEE this sucks. :#
Go gettem' Case...
Update: Sources say that Minnesota believes Bradford will sit only for today, ready to go next week.
I got the DVR going, took the Steelers and gave 6.5 earlier in the week.
Looking like a good bet now. I hope I lose my $, but don't think I will.
Now I really hope Teddy can get healthy. Oh the never ending twists and turns of the Viking QB roller coaster ride - yee haw!
@"StickyBun" said: Update: Sources say that Minnesota believes Bradford will sit only for today, ready to go next week.Must be just some swelling from stepping wrong? Who knows. As long as nothing is torn, which I would think the MRI would show?
Again, hopefully not a season long hinderance or even worse, leaves the Vikings without clarity @ QB as the year progresses and ends.
It sucks for sure, but we aint lost the game yet. Things look bad, I will admit, but I'm not ready to put this one to bed until the game's over. We have won without a good QB before.
Might not be too bad, I could see all NFC North Teams losing this week:
Vikings @ Steelers
Packers @ ATL
Lions @ Giants
Bears @ Tampa Bay
If we lose, we lose. I just want Sam healthy. Sounds like this is just precautionary. Bad thing is that it feels like something that could linger....
Good thing is that game ain't over yet and Case actually looked pretty good this summer. Plenty of starting experience there. And this is probably the best offense he's been in. Wow, did I just say that?
On a related note, just saw a tweet that said "case keenum would be a great name for a fictional kid detective." Ha! So true.
PITTSBURGH — For the second year in a row, the Vikings will use their second starting quarterback of the season in Week 2. Only this time, it will be Sam Bradford exiting the lineup rather than entering it.
Bradford won't play for the Vikings on Sunday against the Steelers, sitting out because of a left knee injury that limited him in practice all week. Coach Mike Zimmer said Friday he expected Bradford to play on Sunday, but the Vikings proceeded with caution through the weekend, opting to test Bradford's knee in a pregame workout.
With offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, quarterbacks coach Kevin Stefanski and head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman watching, Bradford threw a few passes off dropbacks, but didn't do much to test his knee in a brief workout. Keenum and Sloter emerged from the locker room for pregame warmups with the rest of the team, but Bradford wasn't seen on the field.
