Hell, didn't need a study to tell us that! Viking fans are a trip, man. Hate this, hate that, all our players suck and we can't have anything nice. It's so bad that any thoughtful, reasoned, realistic viewpoint comes across as pie-in-sky homerism by comparison.

Not surprised by this at all, we can be a crotchety bunch. A lifetime of dashed expectations can do that do a fan base.

I can't imagine how those stats have any kind of validity, how could anyone possibly measure that?  Did they really find every single social media post that has been written! =)

Every time I go to a sports bar to watch a game regardless of any sport or I go to another team's stadium, I am reminded that every fan base has fanatical fans that are all the same, for the majority every thing is wonderful when their team is winning and it is all horrible when they are not.  There is no fan base that is any different, it is the nature of fandom.

When you've never won a Super Bowl, lost four of them, and haven't been to one in 46 years...yeah that just comes with the territory. I think "just one before I die" is the battle cry of every Vikings fan

I've given up, just enjoying this ride called life, fully knowing that the Vikings will never win the Super Bowl.

Unfortunately, I'm with you, Sticky.  I quit pretending this is "their year" at the beginning of each season.  I'm ok loving the Vikes even though I know this team will most likely never win a SB.  I'm an addict - Skol! B)
