The O-Line injuries are going to be tough to overcome
Playoff football coming up soon and its not like we didn't have enough questions with how good the team actually is, but now its very tough sledding with O'Neill and Schlottman/Bradbury out.
Ezra has been dinged up the last few weeks as well.
I think Bradbury will be back for the playoffs. Who would have thought that would be a positive 5 months ago? Udo is going to have to step up at RT. It will present a definite challenge, but if they play like last Sunday, it won't matter anyway.
They need to work on play calling. Quick plays are needed, the drop backs and slow developing plays are not going to work. Quit running up the middle

As if it weren't going to be tough enough, the road through the playoffs just got even harder.
More than anything, we need Bradbury back if we hope to get past the 2nd game. Give Reed all the 1st team reps this week and against Chicago and hopefully he can work through his cadence issues and be a more reliable backup to Bradbury in the playoffs if his back doesn't hold up. I think Udoh will be OK on the right. It's by far his best position and he held up fairly well after O'Neill went down.
also should expect Brandel back soon as well.
by the way, I heard today that sunday was Reeds first time playing center so... I guess we all need to cut him some slack to be jumping into a playoff race scenario, on the road, for his first live snaps.

I just noted in another thread that Udoh, IMO sets that side of the pocket better than ONeil against power rushers ( small sample size), he also seems to move the defenders a little better at the LOS on run plays, he is more powerful than ONeil, but I think 43 DEs with speed and technique may give him fits.

Agree. His feet aren't as quick as O'Neill's but he's got more power.

But what Udoh does, which is bad, is let everyone get into his body. So its brute strength almost every play. He's stiff and upright. I would prefer Brandel back in there, but Udoh is playing better at RT than OG for sure.
