You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams
At what point do we just say it... much like the people say to nawlins, buffalonians need to just get the fuck out and light a fuse as they leave. I can't imagine getting the kind of snow they've gotten in the last month and I've spent 50 years in a state that gets about 8 months of winter a year, and 4 months of bad sledding. Those poor bastards.
Its a shit show. I couldn't be paid to live in Buffalo. I know some wear it like a badge of honor, but that's bravado. I was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I put my time in and got the F out. Golf season was basically 3 months. Screw that.
I lived in Buffalo for 17 years as my last worl location, knew we were leaving when I retired. Buffalo and surrounding areas are wonderful place to live with great people but winter is toooo long and taxes far too high. The northtowns typically only get a fraction of what they get in the lake effect zones.
There is nothing better than a Buffalo summer.
Heavy snow sucks but ice is a whole other level
EPIC STRUGGLE: The rain is now washing away sheets of ice in #Seattle. But at least for a day, the city was like a skating rink. ❄️🤣#WinterStorm #icestorm #ICE #WINTER pic.twitter.com/JzUFpZHp36

Looks like I'll be showing some videos tonight. :-)
Ice storms are the absolute worst. Went through the 2007 ice storm in the Ozarks and was without power for nine days.

NY State is going to pay almost a billion dollars for a new Bills stadium that does not have a roof, at what point does the NFL mandate closed stadiums for teams building new stadiums in these areas? I don't buy the home field advantage argument, the weather is bad for both teams and the last time I checked the Bills still have not won a Super Bowl. Bills already moved one game to Detroit this year and how are they going to feel if they need they need to move the AFC championship game which could be scheduled for Buffalo on 1/29.
I also don't understand how an owner who just got a billion from the state can't find a way to have his players cars cleaned off before they get home.
