I don't follow it like I used to 10 years ago, but what is going on with the scoring? Some kind of rule change I'm guessing? I keep seeing 7-4 and 6-3 scores consistently. WTF?

scoring is up. Part of that is puck moving defenseman who join the rush and score (all the rage) and for the most part trying to control the clutch and grab (penalties).
that slow things down. Less goons.
you need to be able to skate to get ice time. the wild still like goons(Reaves) but roster management league wide is better.
