Vikes @ Bills

Wouldnt hurt to take a few carries off Cook once in a while either.@"Knucklehead" said: Weather forecast for Sunday in Buffalo is rain/snow mix with winds gusting to 30 mph. sounds like a good day for Madison to get some carries.
^^^ This. Cook should still be the primary back but a little more Mattison wouldn't be a bad thing

Whatever the breakdown, please KOC, run the rock. The o-line thrives on it, does it well and would be a good game to establish that part of the offense.

Wow. I think Mattison is a very good backup, could probably start for a 1/3 of NFL teams. But he doesn't have Dalvin's vision, elusiveness or speed. He might have a little more power, but even that is negligible.
Watching Xs&Os with KOC on Vikings.com. Lots of good tidbits that KOC offers. In regards to Allen's question on 4th quarter fitness and conditioning, KOC has an interesting take, something like pacing themselves on offense, but more to the not using up everything in the playbook, or not being unable to take advantage of the opportunities in the 4th quarter.
Wasn't always sure about the young minds movement at HC, but this guy seems to have that innovative mind that sees things others don't.
Had thought on Cousins sticking in the pocket delivering when he is going to take a hit.

I think Mattison is a lot better than given credit for. He is a more punishing runner and I think if given the opportunity he would be putting up numbers similar to Cook in terms of YPC. He has shown to have good hands as well. Hes not lightning quick like DC, but DC doenst move a pile or carry defenders like AM has this year either. AM looks better this year with his additional muscle than what we had seen in the past IMO.

Unfortunately Kwesi will have a hard time keeping him beyond this year. But he has the potential to be a key contributor in what could be a playoff year.
SKOL Vikings! Kings of the North,...........for years to come.
Listen, this is a game the Vikings could very well lose. Its going to be cold and blustery in Buffalo. They've won 6 straight, and they won't be going 16-1. Its a road game against a very good team.

I like how we match up. These are two very talented rosters, with Buffalo's obvious advantage at QB, a player who won't even be playing. Refill your heart meds, this should be another good one.

Again, two things: not saying they won't win. And you tend to see the sunshine most of the time, which is cool. My point is they won't win every one. And this could very well be one of them. The Vikings have remained competitive in every game but one and even in that game, a few plays would have made it much tighter.Vikings have the next 3 at home after Sunday, which is awesome. If they get a W in Buffalo, regardless of how they look, I'll be very impressed.

For the most part I agree with you. I don't think anyone looks at this as all sunshine. Pretty much, expectations are higher this year than previous years due to the team being under sort of new management. No one thought the Vikings would be sitting at 7-1 and leading the division, Hell I didn't. And realistically, no one thinks the Vikings are going to win the rest of the games. We know that they will drops some and the media is going to rip them apart for it and maybe some posters. But I do see a winning season and some playoff games. To me that is a hell of a good start for a new HC and GM moving forward.
Even without Allen, Buffalo is a 3.5 point fave. But, if your going to lose one, this is the one to lose. A game against a non-conference foe.

If I had to choose either lose @ home to Dallas or on the road @ Buffalo?

I meant the opposite of what you think I meant. Early on, every one of us put this game in the loss column. Now, to say "we could very well lose," means we've come a long way, which is great. Also, the sunshine you see? Those are golden rays of reality. It only SEEMS overly optimistic in an environment of extreme pessimism, which is the default position of most Viking fans. Understandable, given our history, but I try to suppress mine. :-)
As expected Poyer and Rousseau out. But a glimmer of hope for Allen? He hasn't practiced all week. I doubt he's going to play. Probably just gamesmanship.
The #Bills rule out S Jordan Poyer and DE Greg Rousseau for Sunday vs. the #Vikings. QB Josh Allen is being considered "hour by hour," per coach Sean McDermott and has not been ruled out.

So every hour that passes McDermott and staff ask Allen how he's doing? That would get really annoying really quickly. B)

I hope he plays. I think the best thing for this team is to play better opponents and force the O to keep pace. Defensively I think we have a shot at controlling the damage, the bills are still going to hang points on us, but I dont think our D is going to let them go ape shit with the scoring. I want to seem the D take away Diggs and keep Allen contained, and see what happens next... On O, smash mouth football, we need to come out pounding it down their throat and then if weather allows throwing over top of the sucked in safeties.

I don't think it makes much difference. Sure, Bills are a completely different team with a healthy Allen. He's responsible for 82% of the Bills yardage and 92% of their TDs, which is insane. That said, he's NOT healthy and he's been playing like shit lately. Normally, going from an Allen to a Keenum would be a huge downgrade. Right now, I'm not so sure.

maybe, we were supposed to get hammered the last couple days and the weather terrorists were way off. even 12 hour forecasts they had screwed up.
