What do you think of Shannon Sharpe's list of QBs better than Kirk Cousins:  When responding to the question on Twitter, Sharpe said, “ Brady, Burrow, Rodgers, Herbert, Mahomes, Stafford, Wilson, Watson, Allen and Murray. I agree on all minus some pause with Kyler Murray. I'm not intending this post as a KC bashing or glorifying. Just curious as to whether we have any kind of consensus on who is better than KC. His list was probably just on the top of his head type list, but I would probably add Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott.

Not in any world is Murray better than Cousins.  I don't think Stafford is either, the rest I can see.

I have Cousins at 12 or 13 so he is not far off.

I would just add Lamar Jackson and remove Murry.  Cousins, Prescott and Murry rank about the same, Prescott may be a bit above.

I agree. After the top 10 while switching out Murray for Lamar Jackson, I would go Prescott, Cousins, Murray. That would put Cousins at 12 with the realization that Murray has the ability, when on and scrambling, to change the game where Cousins is limited. I would say Cousins at 12.25 and Murray at 12.75.

I think I saw the tweet you're referring to and the original question was something like "which QB you'd rather have over Cousins." So while Brady is better than Cousins, I sure as hell wouldn't take a 45-year-old QB over a 34-year-old. Because when that cliff comes for Tommy B, it's going to come quickly. Could very well be this year (he says for about the 5th time).

I think the rest of the list is fair with the possible exceptions of Watson and Murray. Debatable based on a few factors.

Ask yourself what Kirk would have done on that last drive in the Super Bowl and then think again.

Gotta get there before you can shit the bed.  The D made sure that wasn't possible.
This year specifically, there were several games where Kirk put the team on his shoulders and carried them home.

Impossible to say, but I think the numbers say he would do something good.

I don't think Prescott or Murray are better than Cousins and really think he's better than Stafford too.

What is Brady’s odds of winning a SB any given year even at
45 vs Cousins odds?

Over his career, Brady has about a 45% chance of making it
to the SB, and a 32% chance of winning the SB.

I think the odds of 45 year old Brady making it and/or
winning the SB in one year is better than Cousins has for the rest of his
career.

Some think KC is better than Prescott, Murray and even Stafford. Do any of you think he is better than  Brady, Burrow, Rodgers, Herbert, Mahomes, Wilson, Watson, Allen or Jackson? I'm just trying to get a realistic comparison ceiling for KC.

Yes
Straight up give me Kirk over
Stafford, Burrow, Herbert, Watson and Jackson
If you factor in age and if we needed to trade for someone.  Add Brady and Wilson to the list.

Brady's is probably higher. But I'm a fan for life, not just 2022. I'd stay with Cousins.

This goes to the age-old question nobody agrees with me on: would you rather win a Super Bowl and then suck for 10 years? Or be a playoff team for 10 straight years? For me, it's always been and always will be the latter.

You would really take Kirk over Burrow and Herbert? Are you just talking for this year because they are very young franchise QBs that haven't even hit their ceiling yet. As far as Watson and Jackson, I would tend to group them with Murray. Watson is a little unknown given his off-field issues and being out for a length of time. Jackson is not a huge passing threat IMO and his success is largely determined by his legs.

well the Vikings have been neither. 6 playoff appearances in 17 years of Wilf ownership. Give me a Super Bowl!
