The Packers tried and gave up on this guy because of his physical skills. Just not a good football player.
It was worth giving him a shot to transition back to DT. Then we had Jaleel Johnson emerge at DT and two young DEs in Tashawn Bower and Stephen Weatherly play well off to make the roster. The other factor is that they stashed him on the IR with a non-serious injury, so by taking an injury settlement he is free to sign and play for another team this year.
I cant fault the team for giving it a shot...Hell, I'd be questioning it more if they didnt!
