Stefon Diggs traded to Texans
https://fansided.com/posts/nfl-trade-grades-stefon-diggs-texans-bills-deal
Bills receive 2025 second-round pick via Minnesota.
Texans receive Stefon Diggs and a 2024 sixth-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick.
I am sure he will be happy there...for awhile. Traded him at the right time, IMO
They'll love him, and he them, until any questions start about lack of production, titles, etc...then, the texts...the pouting...the postgame fits....
My final memory of Diggs as a Bill will be against the Chiefs when he dropped what may have been the best deep ball ever thrown in the NFL.
4 years seems to be his run in any one place
From the MIN-BUF Diggs trade four years ago, this is what shook out:

● 0 Super Bowl Appearances
Texans Got:
● Age 30 Stefon…
Interesting. Guessing this trade negotiation has been going on since the Vikings/Texans trade. And since it's been reported the Texans approached the Vikings about that trade (and not the other way around), it makes me wonder if the Texans didn't want to give up their 1st and the Bills wanted a higher 2nd rounder than the Texans had.
If I'm thinking of this correctly, the Texans basically gave up pick 23 for Diggs and a '25 2nd rounder. Not bad. That team is definitely on the rise.
EDIT: Never mind, looks like it was the '25 2nd.
The #Bills will carry about $31.1 million in dead money for Diggs. Pretty much a disaster extension for them. Wound up paying an extra $20.9M in 2022 and 2023 to come away with a net of less than a 2nd rounder next year.

There’s a method to Diggs’ madness, he first procures an extension, then proceeds to getting himself evicted, brilliant… ;) B)
I like Diggs, he plays hard on the field and has a fierce fire to win. Sometimes that gets the better of him. I wouldn't be so quick to put the blame on Diggs for the Buffalo situation, watch the last drive of the KC game and watch Josh Allen ignore a wide open Diggs during the most crucial moments of the game that could have won it for them. There was definitely some issues between the two and I wouldn't be surprised if they were more on Allen.
When the players were initially taken off the field after the Damar Hamlin incident for what was being described as a delay at that time, Diggs was the only player or representative from the team, who went directly to the locker room changed and went to the hospital by himself without waiting for any kind of definitive announcement about the remainder of the game. That is the kind of guy he is, putting his teammate first and properly prioritizing the situation.

The Bills are imploding. Josh Allen is turning into a pumpkin, and the organization is doing him no favors by giving away all his weapons. My guess is they are a 9 win team next year and trending down. They're lucky they are gifted the Jets and NE in the AFC East to keep them out of the cellar.
Playing hot potato with the diva again. I'm sure he'll bad mouth or backhand compliment that Bills somehow on the way out.
Good trade by Houston.
Essentially a 3rd round pick this year, since it’s
deferred. They’ve got Diggs at a reasonable
cap hit for as long as they want, but can also get out pretty much whenever
they want. Only stupid thing would be
giving him more money this offseason.
Texans may be the favorite to win that division.
And that sound you just heard?
The Bill SB window shutting.

As long as #17 is there they will be in it. WRs are getting to be pretty easy to draft every year. They also have a young Stud at TE. they will be fine.
Diggs will like it there until he doesn’t.
In all my years of watching sports I've seen some strange, weird , crazy, unexpected things play out.
in the last 25 years I don't recall a more bizarre story than Diggs forcing his way out of Minnesota only be replaced by the draft pick he was traded for, who was the 5th WR off the board, JJ
Crazy stuff man.
Many fans were upset about Caserio trading out of the first BEFORE the draft but have a much clearer picture as to why now. @AdamSchefter explains that THE TEXANS approached the Vikings for the trade so they could acquire capital for a trade like the Diggs one.

As far as tea leave reading goes, Kwesi is impossible to read.
It started Draft day 2022 with not one but two trade downs both with division rivals.. Nobody saw that coming.
Last year trading for Hock, no one saw that coming.
This year I presumed since he didn't trade Hunter at the deadline it was a virtual certainty Hunter would be resigned. Wrong.
Then I presumed Kwesi initiated the trade with the Texans for pick #23 to get ammo to trade up for a QB. Again no one saw it coming and it was wrong. Kwesi didn't initiate the trade, the Texans did to get Diggs.
3 years in I don't see how anyone can claim to know definitively with any certainty what his plan is or what he's gonna do next .

I agree. too early to see patterns with KAM. I like certainty in my world, he hasn't brought that lol!
