End of story.

Kinda like the saying, what is the first thing that comes to a bug's mind when he hits the windshield?  That CB thought he was home free and suddenly was flying backwards.

Delvin is deceptively strong for his size; that CB went flying.  And it was a great effort to be able to make it over to the blitzer in time.

Between Cook and Murray, I'm looking forward to having RBs who can pick up a blitz for a change.

An offensive coordinator has an idea or a plan for his offense, and he molds the players on the roster to adapt to the concepts and schemes he wants to run. A lot of times, coaches end up sitting on their hands a bit waiting for players to come around. As guys start clicking, the playbook opens up.

But there isn't a lot of room for excuse for this offense to not find it's rhythm. Shurmur has a QB that has no excuses (outside protection). Shurmur has a rookie RB (and Murray) that can practically do anything he is asked right now. It's hard to see handcuffs on play-calling; it's hard to imagine Shurmur being anything less than a kid in a candy store when it comes to calling what he wants; when he wants and why he wants.

There is no excuse to not be beyond that "AD" style of offense - I truly feel Cook really needs to earn his accolades, but at the same time, he's begun to show us now what he can do. It's not just words and hype anymore, there's a pretty solid video case that Cook is everything advertised up to this point. Shurmur should be able to do pretty much what ever he wants as a play-caller.

... I know that last game was a preseason game; there is no excuse to perform like that in a regular season game. We can't come out flat, we can't be predictable, and we can't set ourselves up with 3rd and long situations off of 2 forgettable plays. There's not much excuse to not be more aggressive this season. We can't take a dynamic back that can do it all, and a QB that can sling it, and end up still being predictable.
