I'm a casual UFC and boxing fan (I'll watch the big ppvs but that usually amounts to a couple times/year) and I'm going to a bar with some friends to watch this. $20 cover plus drinks so it won't be cheap and in my heart I'd say it's about 85% chance the fight stinks... but on the off chance something awesome happens, I want to see it!

Will you be watching?

Also, to whoever scheduled my fantasy football draft on Sunday morning... not good

I think it will be a snoozefest that goes the distance, setting up a rematch.

I want McGregor to get frustrated after a few rounds,  forget where he's at....and land a round house upside mayweathers head.

Interesting note from espn...Vegas police are expecting 300,000 people to be coming in for this fight and they know of gang members from around the country that are targeting all the drunks that will be there with pockets of money...the fights outside might be better than the ones inside...per sal palantonio

I don't see this ending well for McGregor. I'm cheering for him, because I dislike Mayweather... But I see this as a fight similar to the. Mayweather/ Gatti fight. I think McGregor tends to gas, and if this goes 4 rounds, I'll be shocked.

Here is how I see it going:

I grew-up on Ali/Frazier/Foreman and then Sugar Ray. But I don't have the stomach for UFC or Boxing anymore.

And stay off my lawn too...

Couldn't agree more. About the lawn I mean. My lawn this year is awesome. Everyone who walks by says I have the best yard in the neighborhood. So when the neighbor kids decided to play in my front yard last night, I found myself actually telling them to "get off my lawn." I know. But it was wet.

Agree too about whatever this is about. I grew up with Ali and Foreman and Frazier. I keep hearing references to this on sports radio, as if I'm supposed to know what this is. I don't even know what UFC is, or who Connor McGregor is.

Here is how I see it, if a UFC fighter beats an undefeated champion in Boxing at Boxing then Boxing is dead.  I seriously doubt McGregor can do what other proffesional boxers have failed to do.  But I sure would love to see it!!!  Slainte Conor!!

This. A thousand times this. I cannot stand Mayweather. I would laugh if it was a quick fight like Tyson/Spinks.

Mayweather can put him down anytime he wants in a boxing setting. Guaranteed. In a street fight, McGregor would kick his ass every time. But that's not the rules. Boxing rules apply.

Money may be told to keep him around for 4 or 5 round because of PPV $$$, But honestly its no contest. A boxer uses his hands all the time. His speed is mind blowing. He'll hit you twice in the face before you know what happened.

Mayweather is likely the greatest defensive boxer the world has ever seen. He can land once or twice in a round, and still win the round because the other guy wouldn't have landed at all.

I'm not sure I agree that he can put him down at will, because he has hand problems, and hasn't always been a big puncher. That said, I think we agree... Should be a lopsided victory for Mayweather. As lopsided as a cage victory for McG would have been.

I'm cheering for McG, but I just don't see it happening. To someone else's point, if McG wins, Boxing is dead (I feel like it's getting there already...).

So I told everybody that asked....mayweather,  with that said.....
That was bullshit.  The fact that mayweather was able to duck and  turn his back to macgregor so many times early on without losing points was absurd .  This was a sham.
