how many of you all have a nude photo of youself or your spouse/significant other on your phone or wireless devices?   seriously... in todays cyber attack world,  why the hell would anybody keep shit like that were its obviously not safe....especially celebs that have to know that they are being targeted at a much higher rate than the average joe or jane on the street.

I think its deplorable that people out there are profiting from this shit,  but at some point I have to say the celebs are somewhat at fault for leaving themselves so exposed. ( pun intended)

Why isn't Chuck Foreman in the Hall of Fame?

Lack of understanding how it can happen and disbelief that it can happen. A lot of faith that it wont happen because it shouldnt happen.

Personally, I sold Smartphones through the major boom. A big, big part of it, is ignorance. Major willful, "i dont have time for this" ignorance. These devices sync and connect to all kinds of things without the average user having much clue, concern or interest in what they can do.

A salesperson speaks a foreign language to a new user; pop ups on your device become painfully annoying. I kinda think a lot of synced photos arent synced because the user thought, "hell yea, turn this shit on!"

I found my iPad synced some photos even though i thought i turned it all off. ... not saying nobody uses the features as they are advertised; outside of those that really take advantage of it are a ton of people who just overwhelmed by options and dont commit (or pay much attention) to the "bullshit" their phones include.

... i dont think this really stops at nude photos either. A lot of business' and govenment officials seem to struggle with private information all of the time. I think they "keep doing it" for a many of the same reasons; a lot of faith in the security measures in place and maybe even a little willful ignorance that it can't or won't happen to them.

I think it's sad that it happens. There is such a thing as revenge porn and there are revenge porn laws. So clearly it isn't just celebrities. No matter who it is, it sucks to have privacy violated.

If anybody ever got a hold of my phone, I'd be in real trouble.

I don't really care if my pictures get out there, I'll admit it's kind of irresponsible to keep the pics of girls I've dated, but... they sent 'em. And most are logged in iMessage threads, not to my storage, so if it leaked it wouldn't totally be my fault.

Celebrities are no different than anybody else (for the most part). Every 20 year old wants to share their genitals with their significant others. I honestly can't name a single friend of mine who hasn't done this to some degree.

Spot on.  Most people have no clue what their phones are doing with their data.  And as you say, apps will try (or "assume" you want) to sync your data without much consent.

That said, Jimmy has a point.  Why keep pictures like that?  Don't they have publicity managers?

This will show my age I suppose (Krypton did explode a long time ago..), but...when I was 20 NO ONE had shown their genitals in a photo and sent it to another person. Sure, there is a technology reason, but few would have done it if offered the means. Most girls I dated in the 1980s had NEVER seen any porn; several I dated had their first look at Playboy in my presence. Getting a pornographic photo used to mean buying a magazine at a cash register, maybe going into a pervert room...and seeing video sex? Until the VCR arrived, you had to go into a creepy theatre, and VCR rental wasn't much more discrete.

I'm not saying we were superior or morally better. But today, young adults and younger, of both sexes, have all seen even extreme fetish behavior demonstrated via internet video - and they are desensitized and think it is normal. Maybe it's better, but I think this generation is the poorer for having let their bodies and sex lives become so open that they are less secret and exciting.

Maybe you but not me.   No junk photos on my devices.   And there aren't likely people stalking my devices for such material.

Yeah I honestly don't know whether it's better or worse. I think you could make the argument for both. I'll agree that you're right though when you talk about ease of access to fetish porn. And I do believe humans haven't changed at all in 40 years or so from when you were younger. Hell, a girl I've dated was regularly the number one upvote on reddit.com/gonewild. I was genuinely curious why she'd put herself on there in crazy degrading poses (she never showed her face) and she said it was the validation she got.

I think it's all technology and/or culture. Had this stuff been around back then, along with social media, the culture would've adopted a similar attitude and you guys would've been doing the same stuff.

I won't argue with you about that - in no way do I feel people born in an earlier time were "better" by nature. But I do think the excessive exposure to porn has changed what people think is normal or acceptable. Young guys look at so much porn and they want their girls to look and act like porn stars. IMO the style for pubic hair (or lack) is definitely an example, but the type of sex expected has also changed because of it. If that's just fashion, so be it, but I fear that the porn actresses pretending to like certain things results in people doing more than they are comfortable with. The actresses are ACTING, after all (maybe badly), and the huge quantity of porn available definitely leads filmmakers to push the envelope to constantly newer extremes.

If you don't think some celebrities leak their own nudes then your wrong.

It's the snap chat/ instagram era, lots of people have their nudes floating around.  In every facet of life.

No,   I know some do, they need it to keep their name in the public,  But some have no reason to and those are the ones I shake my head at.

Grab your phone and take a picture of your junk.

It'll pop up and say, "Are you at ? Do you want to upload this photo and rate your experience?"

You'll wonder if your junk is their Google Maps cover photo for hours...
