Some positions will make for easier decisions than others. One of the tougher areas to thin, according to head coach Mike Zimmer, will be the defensive line, which has been a strength of the roster for a couple years.
The decisions aren’t getting any easier with young players like defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson and defensive ends Tashawn Bower and Ifeadi Odenigbo playing well during two preseason games.
“There’s several spots I think we’re going to have some tough issues and that’s why it’s good to have the fourth preseason game,” Zimmer said Wednesday. “This week will be a big week again for a lot of these guys.”

Since there is only 1 cut down this year the process of setting a roster is different.
A trade of a Viking DL prospect player for another team prospect player might be doable after this weekend.
A viking DL player for a draft pick would seem unlikely to me. We'll see but I hate to see players catch on other teams and the Vikings get nothing......
I haven't heard much about Dylan Bradley, the undersized DT who was compared to Tom Johnson and even John Randle back in OTAs. Will Sutton seems unremarkable, too.
At DE: is Stephen Weatherly secure? I've seen and heard more about Bower and Odenigbo, but possibly just because they are new guys. I think we will keep 5 DEs with the idea that Robison can also play as nickel DT, but which DEs?
