Comp picks are out

So we got a 3rd and two 7ths...  Nice.

Dear Trader Rick, you now have 2 7ths without having to trade down in the 3rd. You also have more holes to fill than normal and have yet to hit on a late Round draft pick on the O-Line or 3T. This might maybe kinda sorta be the year to either trade Up to get the guys you want or trade back a little if the value isn't right. It might maybe sorta kinda not be the year to trade out of the 3rd or 4th just to acquire more 7ths.

Gotta think we'll get another extra 3rd next year if Harris gets paid big elsewhere and as expected, we don't make any big FA acquisitions this year, right? Can someone who knows more about this stuff than I do confirm? Tyia.

I would love it if we did...  I think he is getting too much criticism for the player he was at Alabama.  I feel like his arrow is definitely point up when you look at how much he improved in one season at Oklahoma.  He would be well worth the Day 2 investment.

I'm not sure Hurts lasts until the 3rd. Sounds like he had a great Combine.

Here's the thing, he's not the run-first QB from Bama and he's not the Air Raid kid from Oklahoma. The LSU pass rush kept him looking down the whole game when he has receivers open if he just navigated the pocket and made the throw. Instead, he panicked and ran out of the pocket for no gain or frequently a sack. He throws a pretty weak deep ball too.

But I freaking love his intangibles. Didn't air his laundry to the media in Bama when Tua replaced him. Not a big trash talker. Quiet leader that absolutely commands the locker room.

IF he can improve the deep ball and really improve his pocket presence than yep, I'm all for it. But no earlier than that comp pick. And I highly doubt he'll be there.

if they extend Cousins (and are locked in with him for 3 more years) and still take a QB there I would be pissed assuming cousins does the no trade clause again.

Yeah, since we will likely add only one or two discounted FAs, next year should be quite a haul of picks. Harris, Waynes for sure. Not sure how Griffen will fit into that. But also potentially Alexander, Kearse, Bailey, Treadwell, Weatherly, Mannion, Wilson....
