How many starting WRs in the NFL make this catch? Price isn't even off the ground. Did he forget how to jump?

McCarthy's throw was high, but there is no reason Price should be missing this pass.

he is polarizing, peoples minds are made up. I for one had very high hopes for JJM, and I would still love to see him turn things around for his career and be a top 10 QB for the team that drafted him .

I enjoy Havoc's football takes so glad he posted his pov...

But yah, peoples minds are definitely made-up and the only one who can change them is McCarthy.

The vast majority, but in my opinion, most high school WR’s as well. If you rewatch it, Price does this weird shortened step thing, almost a stutter step moving to that ball. It’s why he ends up in the position we see in this still frame. At 5’9” outstretched, it puts the ball at what, maybe 8 feet above the ground? I’m 6’3” so admittedly, I may see it differently than Price, but that doesn’t seem overwhelmingly high to me.

I didn’t intend a “mic drop” 😂. I was just exasperated as my Facebook feed was full of the same comments on the play. Everywhere I looked it was the same thing. I get it too. When I saw it live, I thought he airmailed it over him. Then I saw a view from the left side of the ball that showed the position of the defender jumping up in front of JJM and the ball placement suddenly made sense. I could also see that the ball barely landed out of bounds and hit the white stripe. It was clearly not moving as fast as I had initially thought - which would have seen it caught by someone on the sidelines.

It was then that everything clicked for me. I had been seeing what I had been told I should see, not what was objectively happening. So I watched all his preseason throws and realized I had been wrong all along and the narrative was clearly swaying my view. I came away seeing a developing player with crazy arm talent who had come a long way since last year. He still needs time, but he appears to me to be moving the needle forward.

McCarthy has become a divisive lighting rod within the fan base...Just the opposite of what I hoped for him and for us.

I was just waiting for him to own this town; it was there for the taking. I was in the fan line behind Sticky and even went to a pre-season game for the first time in probably 10 years to see him vs Raiders.

I wanted to be at that historic 1st game of his at USB!

I agree he needs time, Vikings need to get him off the radar and let him marinate a while.

We'll see what he does with the inevitable opportunity he'll get at some point this year.
