To say teammates are gushing about him would be a complete understatement:

Turner is just so incredibly talented. He has a motor that is non stop. He plays with intensity. I absolutely loved him going into the draft. He was so dominant on that Bama defense. He was so young when we drafted him. People were calling him a let down early, but he was always going to take a season or so. I think he is going to be the best pass rusher in the NFL come year end. Bold take, I get it.

Serious question...can he be Micah Parsons good?

Looking at his draft profile, I think the smartest thing that KOC (and BFlo) did was to NOT rush him in. But after two years as an understudy...he sure looks like he is ready for his closeup.

Please God, just one Lombardi before I die.

Love to see and hear this, but these plays don't mean crap, unless they actually sack the QB. These talking heads keep boasting about a would-be-sack, yet no one is actually tackling a QB. Queue up Caleb Williams against the Vikings defense and we had over 10 would-be-sacks, yet we ended with far less because of his escability and our lack of ability to wrap up. Guys like Lamar Jackson are hard to bring down. Yeah, the pocket collapsed on him and Turner was there, but would Turner and/or others be bringing Jackson down?

I love the pressure, but just like making the playoffs and not making it to the Superbowl, it doesn't matter if you're not bringing the QB down or getting a turnover.

This is in no way to take away from what Turner has done in camp so far, as well as the PS. He has been an animal and I'm so happy for him that he's getting his chance to prove himself. Like Canthony said, he was a beast in college and with his non-stop motor, let's see what he can do for a full season as the starter.

With everything we gave up to get him would be great if could be an impact player. I am hoping he got bigger and stronger than last year, as he seemed to get swallowed up often by the OTs.

Proof is in the pudding for sure. I hope he can reach that great potential because I wasn't sure if he was going to. Early signs point up, but it only matters when the bullets are live.

He doesn't feel like a Micah Parsons type player to me, but I'm excited to see how he does this year. Statistically, its not even close between them so far. Parsons has never had less than 12 sacks in any season he's played, impact player from the get-go. Obviously was playing behind Greenard at the exact same optimal position, so giddy up hopefully.

I think if this team makes the playoffs, Turner is going to be one of the biggest reasons why. Experts everywhere see that we lost Greenard, but don't acknowledge he missed several games and had only 3 sacks to Turner's 8 last season. If Turner can repeat his sack total, plus Greenard's, for 11, we should be golden. I think he can hit that easily by playing full time.

And FWIW, Greenard looks like he's going to miss some games in Philly.

Turner shouldn't have an issue, barring injury, hitting the 10+ sack mark.

After the 2024 draft, I was hoping that we had a cornerstone player on Offense, Defense and Special Teams.

Special Teams: Will the thrill. Check.

Defense: Turner. Looking really good. I think he will break out this year.

Offense: JJ. Not looking so good yet. But he shows flashes. I like that JJ can step up in crunch time. I really miss the days of Tarkenton pulling victory out of defeat! (We are so overdue for a true franchise QB.)

I agree with Turner on defense ,but also think the offensive line could be a major factor in a great season and potential deep play off run. If they can protect Murray and run block, the Vikings will have all they need to be very good.

Elite DC, elite immediate superior to learn from (Greenard), time and enough rope to hone his skills, elite locker room/facilities/all that, on and on. Now it's time for him to pay back that investment and I really think he's going to smash. We've all been waiting for this moment... Go get em Big Guy!!

Not gonna be like this with every player nor should it be, but kudos to the Vikings organization for treating Dallas Turner for what he is: a blue chip asset. The Vikes have done darn near everything I can think of to set him up for success. We make plans and God laughs but here's hoping Mr. Turner can be a staple here for a long time.

My comparison has always been Derrick Thomas. Nearly identical size coming out and both went to Bama. Obviously Turner hasn’t had nearly the production Thomas had his first two seasons but you see flashes of that type of talent. It’s all there, he just needs to turn Jordan Love into his own David Krieg.

11 sacks. They should have surrendered.

Funny, the title has 10 sacks, but they don't show any of them.
