Vick getting trashed for telling kapernick to get a haircut.

whats the big deal here?  is it really earth shattering that corporate America would prefer to have their representatives ( QBs are often the faces of the franchise)  to fit a certain mold?  Kapernick was being very outspoken on unpopular topics to many and with the radical hairdo it sends a message that he will continue to rock the boat and not conform to the image and type of player that a corporation would want out front.  Its like a hippie in the 60s,  if you saw long hair... what did you expect to hear?  if you saw a well groomed person would you expect anti war rhetoric and all the other hippie generation themes?

Does the hair make the man.. no chance no way,  but it does at times reflect on a persona that a person is trying to portray or a way of life they are trying to live.  or it could be they are just having a bad hair day.

If I  was kapernick i wouldnt be trying to piss off anybody that is reaching out to me with help or advice... he has a lot of people that supposedly support him,  but apparently none of them are in a position to actually do anything about it.

Possibly Trumps smartest move yet as President

Trump suggests Republicans will let ACA market collapse, then rewrite health law...

Its apparent to most conservatives that the new proposed health care bill is no better than obamacare for most Americans.  Its also apparent to most that this is going to be a partisan issue until a solution falls on its face and another is created out of desire to help all Americans and not just their voting base.  IMO this move should show more libs that the ACA is a disaster in terms of what it was supposed to be ( affordable care for all Americans)  and should move them to demand that their elected officials fix the issue...just as the cons have been begging their elected to so for the last decade.

I am so fucking sick of obamacare that I would almost like to see socialized medicine tried....fuck the insurance carriers, fuck the drug companies,  fuck the major medical providers that have destroyed their smaller competition... fuck them all and let the govt decide who lives or dies.  in actuality they always hold the cards anyway through the bull shit laws they pass, so lets put them on the hook for the whole enchilada.  Might be just the card needed to bring about the political "revolution" that so many want to see.

Who's your early favorites to be playing in the Minneapolis SB this February?

I am going with The Steelers vs The Seahawks

AFC CG - Pitt vs NE
NFC CG - GB vs Sea

Viking fans suddenly become Seahawks fans repulsed at the potential of the The Packers playing a SB in a Vikings stadium. The ultimate indignation.

Redskins Blame Kurt Cousins For Statement Impasse

Bruce Allen seemingly referred to Kirk Cousins as “Kurt” five times in statement

Posted by Curtis Crabtree on July 18, 2017, 6:08 AM EDT

AP

As team president of the Washington Redskins, it would stand to reason that Bruce Allen would know the name of the team’s starting quarterback.

However, in reading a statement to announce they had not reached an agreement with Kirk Cousins on a long-term contract ahead of Monday’s franchise tag deadline, Allen appeared to mispronounce Cousins’ first name on multiple occasions. Allen seemingly called him “Kurt” five separate times during the reading of the statement.

Was Allen trying to pull a version of the “cat game” from Super Troopers? Does he think his quarterback is actually named Kurt? Is he just unable to pronounce Kirk?

A team spokesman told John Keim of ESPN.com that Allen “sounded that way because of the Redskins president’s accent.”

The statement itself was already a weak effort to turn public sentiment against Cousins and put sparkles on a contract offer that Cousins had no business entertaining. If Allen wasn’t a victim of his accent and was instead trying to be cute regarding his pronunciation of Cousins’ name, it’s another poor look for a franchise that seems to specialize in them.

Either way, Washington might want to find a different way to conduct their business right about meow.

Gerald Allen could not be reached for comment...

  OT: DirecTV

I signed up with DirecTV last fall and my bill (including Sunday Ticket) was about $80. I agreed to a two year price lock deal, which I'd assume would mean for two years my bill would remain at that price.

Then in January it raised to $88 with odd charges that really didn't seem to be anything accept made up fees just appearing. I called and after an hour they apologized and removed it from my bill.

Now I get my latest bill: $127.63. "Early" payments for Sunday Ticket. Which last year was part of my price lock guarantee. Fuck these cock suckers! Does anybody else have to fight with these guys? I'm calling tomorrow and I'm threatening their lives if they don't fix this shit.

Minnesota Vikings: Start Pat Elflein…Somewhere20 of 32

The Minnesota Vikings got a gift in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft in the form of Ohio State center Pat Elflein. When they traded up to select him, Mike Mayock of NFL Network hailed the pick.
"One of the most technically advanced offensive lineman in this draft," Mayock said. "He's not the best athlete in the world, but he's technically proficient. He's one of those guys that will play 10 years in the NFL. I love the fact that he can play center and both guards. Really solid pick by the Vikings."
However, Minnesota head coach Mike Zimmer isn't one to just hand starting spots to rookies. In that respect, it wasn't surprising that Nick Easton spent the majority of OTAs as the team's starter in the middle of the offensive line, per Matt Vensel of the Star Tribune.
The same Nick Easton who ranked 36th at the position (per PFF) in 400 snaps and change a year ago.
According to Football Outsiders, the Vikings had the third-worst run-blocking line in the NFL last season. Elflein happens to be an excellent run-blocker with starting experience at both center and guard.
    This shouldn't be rocket science.

Nah, I didnt think so. Me neither.

But I'll say this, I have a feeling the next CBA discussions arent going to be all puppies and unicorns.

NFL players have to be looking @ NBA with a lot of envy.
