  Loss is on Zim

Okay yes it's kind of on Bradford's knee too but here's the thing, Case Keenum-- while not good by any means-- did not play us out of that game. PENALTIES did.

11 penalties for 131 yds is KILLER. How many 1st & 20s did we have? How many free yds did they get from pass interference calls? If you want to say that's on the players and not Zim then that's your call, but I tend to say the buck stops with the coaches and when a team plays sloppy, it's on coaching.

Time and again we shot ourselves in the foot. So frustrating to watch after we played a nearly perfect game against the Saints. Lots to clean up this week.

I do think Zim is a good coach and I'm glad we have him. But is he a great coach? I'm not sure.

Not very often winning from Vegas is easy/peazy, this game was it.

That said, would have been delighted to have paid out.

So what the hell is wrong with Bradford anyways?  Could be a very long year if he's sidelined.

  Kaepernick.

I may as well be first to suggest it. Shields up.

Bradford could miss a handfuls of games - and that might be a best-case scenario. Tell me why Kaepernick wouldn't be a better alternative than Case Keenum. Football reasons.

Besides Bradford also inactive for the #Vikings in Pittsburgh: CB Tramaine Brock, WR Rodney Adams, DT Jaleel Johnson, DE Tashawn Bower, G Danny Isidora and OT Aviante Collins.

  The D better be ready

Now that it's the backups at QB, I expect to see a very conservative offense today with plenty of runs and short passing.

It looks to me like it's now up to the D to win this one.

A Mess Grows in Indy: NFL Execs Say Luck Should Demand Trade
Posted by: purplefaithful - 09-17-2017, 01:53 PM - Forum: The Longship - Replies (2)

Wow, how quickly fortunes can turn in this league...

A Mess Grows in Indy: With Luck Concerned, NFL Execs Say He Should Demand TradeAround the NFL, when teams look at the Indianapolis Colts, they see one thing.
A waste.
A waste of fan support. A waste of potential. A waste of talented receivers. And mostly, a waste of a quarterback in Andrew Luck.
Ask a handful of front office personnel around the league, and they'll tell you what has happened in Indianapolis is one of the greatest wastes of quarterback talents they've ever seen.
