When you are picking at 159 and you take someone in the 320 range, it is not value, it has to just be a stupid peacocking that they are smarter than anyone else. He's a good FB, great, could have picked him up as a UDFA. The following pick looked to be exactly the same thing. Trying to prove they are smarter than everyone else. May be decent players, but the talk about taking value is such utter BS with these picks. That said, I hope they kick ass for us, but damn that is straying very far from norm and need.
Glad we were able to snag Claiborne! I did not think he would fall to mid-6th.
