NFCN ONLY TRADES / RUMORS
A place for NFCN Trades/Rumors only. Let's keep them all in one place. Makes it easier to keep track of our rivalries.
If you want to start a thread about an NFCN blockbuster trade for immediate notice, GREAT! (As I did with the Bears/Titans) It will get merged into this one after a bit though. I hope you all oaky with this.
Thanks everyone 😊

For the Vikings specifically, the Taylor conversation is less about money for ‘26 than it is the future money on his contract. Pay a premium at the RB position in ‘27 and ‘28, and you’re then having to make a bunch of real tough decisions with a ton of major roster questions (QB,… https://t.co/XCJsY5Sgfs

The #Colts are now open to trading Jonathan Taylor, and they already turned down a deal for him that involved a 2nd round pick and additional draft capital, per @AdamSchefter.

The #Vikings and #Giants are considered the favorites to land him, per @jjones9. pic.twitter.com/HznjX1sFT0

Jonathan Taylor can’t fit under the #Vikings cap at the moment, so if they want to acquire him, they would need to shed some salary, per @jjones9:

Should we ask for Daniel Jones too? I don't know what we're going to do at QB in 2027. Either Murray just never syncs with our offense, in which case, we won't want him in 2027, or he does and he becomes more than we can afford.
I will never understand why we traded JJ McCarthy.

I certainly don't either, but more as to when....I thought he'd stick all year and then they'd part ways. If JJM strings together some good games and wins, its going to be very prickly around Eagan especially if, as you mention, the syncing never takes place with Murray. It sure looks like the Giants are pushing their chips in with McCarthy for winning the division this season.

Traded for a pittance.
Either Teasley isn’t as smart as we think or possibly he was unimpressed when McCarthy didn’t answer the bell for the third preseason game.
Regardless, definitely didn’t need to trade him. (as far as we know)

Much as I believe Taylor would help the team, when I look at our prominent names needing to get re-upped soon? Thats window closing scary if some were to leave (even in their 30's.)
Honestly? I think I'd rather add a Pollard type this season and hope to land Baugh Rd1 in the draft. And as soon as I typed that, I remind myself hope isnt a plan.
The Colts already turned down a 2nd rounder? I'm not sure I want to give up a day 1 pick...
Just not sure....

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

smart move by the bears for a couple late first they put themselves in several years of deep playoff runs.
Vikings at 6-0 and i would still be shocked if they make the playoffs. lots of good teams in the nfc. They should keep their picks unless it is for someone who can help multiple years.
You must be a Bears fan. It would take an epic collapse for the Vikings to miss the postseason.

Well, "as far as we know" is right. There could have been some sort of problem or conflict that we just don't know about.
But my goodness...sure, bring in a QB1. Yes, put his ass on the bench. But to just discard a highly-drafted young QB for nothing was bewildering. And I'm not saying this because of what he's doing in NY. Who knows if that's even real. Only because young, toolsy, cheap QBs are worthy of patience on the odd chance that maybe, just maybe, it starts to click. In the meantime, you've got a pretty good backup. So what the hell were they thinking? Had to be something behind the scenes.

Thats been my belief with the whole saga over the last year.
I believe JJ was po'd at the competition overall and not coming out Qb1 when it ended.
Maybe he felt it was rigged? Who knows???
Something made the relationship untenable, thats for sure. And it didnt help the situation our GM most likely had no emotional capital invested.
But yah, I was in no way wanting to trade him this season.

This has been my thoughts for quite some time.

I have a real hard time believing that is all it is. I still want him to come out and ball. Show us what you have. I have been on his side all year during the season. Waiting. Hoping. Then words come out that are eerily similar to the "fake" things that came out of Arizona. Which would make sense on what we are seeing on offense. Unless, of course, you would like to put those words on Jefferson or Jones.

That actually makes more sense. Bring in a young RB to a rebuilding team with some draft capital and a much better $ figure for the next several years.
The #Eagles have options ahead of the trade deadline and Howie Roseman will explore them but trading Saquon Barkley isn’t going to be one of them, as Roseman & Co. see him as part of a competitive 2027 roster. From me and @RapSheet 👇🏼 https://t.co/OuCU8hv3QI

Per @RapSheet the Chicago #Bears might be making another move to bolster their roster. Khalil Mack might return to the Windy City?#Vikings lead the NFC North yet have not made a move like other top NFC Contenders. Any move by Minnesota will likely be made after today’s game… https://t.co/W0vjimKHvD

I’m sorry but seeing Green Bay get Jonathan Taylor after they allowed Josh Jacobs to see the field this year is a universal injustice go get the deal done Nolan. https://t.co/OT6eg5CATy
